Fujitsu Lifebook E743 review

Modular projector bay lets you beam presentations

Stylish design ; Modular bays ; Projector ; Swappable peripherals ; Decent dock

No Haswell (yet) ; Chunky ; Average battery life ; Poor audio

If you're into swapping around accessories and having a multitude of peripherals at your disposal, the E743 is an attractive laptop. It's certainly a team player, and a welcome indication of the direction vendors are travelling in when attempting to...

Fujitsu Lifebook E743 review

Device emphasises build quality, standardisation and security, plus a projector module option

Built to last, good connectivity, good expansion options including Bay Projector module

Relatively bulky compared with ultrabooks, Intel vPro only on select models

Overall, we found that the Lifebook E743 appears to have been carefully designed for its target business market. It may not be as exciting as the latest super-thin ultrabooks, but it ticks all the right boxes for corporate buyers, and feels sturdy...

Fujitsu Lifebook E743 review

Fujitsu's Lifebook E743 may lack the glamour of an ultrabook, but it is a well-designed business portable that is sturdy and offers decent performance, plus the unique ability to fit an optional projector module for giving presentations.

Review Fujitsu LifeBook E743-0M55A1DE Notebook

Covers all the bases. The LifeBook E-series is to convince well-heeled business users with its great casing as well as numerous security features and interfaces. Our review sample belongs to the lower-priced models from the series and is appealing with...

Light; Stylish, rigid casing; Good runtimes; Decent screen for TN technology; Decent input devices; Performance matches application field; Many interfaces

No SSD; TouchStick finicky (and unnecessary?); Multibay secured by only one bar; No keyboard backlight; No HDMI

Fujitsu managed to put more laptop in the E743 for $1260 than in the E733 for $2144 - both from the same series. That's weird.

Fujitsu Lifebook E743 review: Nice design, but no Haswell yet

Fujitsu's new Lifebook E-Line offers an attractive design and solid build quality, with plenty of configuration options and (common) accessories. The optional modular Bay Projector is interesting, but you'll need to weigh its utility against the £280...

Attractive design ; Solid build quality ; Plenty of ports and slots ; Mobile broadband support ; Matte screen ; Modular bay options include a pico projector

Fourth-generation (Haswell) CPUs not available yet ; Integrated GPU only ; Second battery may be needed for all-day mains-free operation

Fujitsu's new Lifebook E-Line offers an attractive design and solid build quality, with plenty of configuration options and (common) accessories. Our 14-inch Core i5-powered E743 review sample delivered acceptable performance and is just about slim and...
