Convertible laptops are about the freedom to work the way you want. Unfortunately, Dell's otherwise winning Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1 limits your freedom to the length of its power cord.

Sleek design. Bright display. USB-C and HDMI ports. Perky performance.

Miserably brief battery life. Keyboard feels flat.

It looks awesome and it feels very solid when you fold over the screen. Not flimsy at all, which is what I was a bit worried about. Screen is good. Speakers are good for Netflix etc but at full volume they're not brilliant.

Battery life is not the best but you will get a few hours out if it. Depending on what you're doing of course. Only 2 USB slots. I did have a issue with heat. The fan was near constantly on. Easiest solution was to disable turboboost but that...
