Dell Inspiron Duo

Screen-flipping, keyboard-packing, rugged yet stylish; with its rotating touchscreen, real keyboard and dual core Atom processor, the Inspiron Duo looks as if it ought to be the perfect combination of high-end netbook and tablet. Of all the convertible...

Enough memory, a fast hard drive, Broadcom accelerator, keyboard, clever rotating screen turning it into a stylish tablet

Inexplicably slow Dell touch apps, the way the finger touch resolution isn’t quite good enough to accurately tap fiddly Windows controls, the lack of a pen, the mean selection of ports, disappointing battery life

Of all the convertible tablet PCs we’ve seen over the years, the Inspiron Duo is the most stylish and the most fun. We expected the in-place rotating screen to be a gimmick but it’s sturdy and easy to use. The keyboard is one of the best we’ve used on...

Dell Inspiron Duo review

We got to spend some hands-on time with the Dell Inspiron Duo, and here is our first-look review.

It's too early to make a true judgment on the Dell Inspiron Duo, but early impressions are that despite the marketing hype this product is more heavy netbook than svelte tablet.

It's a netbook. It's a tablet. It's an internet TV. That's a trio in our book

A failure as a tablet, but still has something to offer as a quirky media portal

Can’t decide between a tablet or a new laptop? Dell is hoping so, having combined both to make the Inspiron Duo. As party tricks go, the Duo’s rotating screen is up there with balancing a broom handle

Dell Inspiron Duo review

We've seen convertible tablets before, although they've never really taken off. However, Dell's decided to have a go at the convertible again with the Inspiron Duo and answer the question of whether people should buy a netbook or tablet with, "have both".

The first convertible Windows 7 tablet to be any good, but battery life could be better.

Dell Inspiron 9300

The Inspiron 9300 is the successor to the 9200 and boy, does it have a hard act to live up to. We loved the 9200 - it was fast, light for such a large model and had a battery life of nearly five-and-a-half hours.

Ultimately, the Inspiron 9300 doesn't live up to the standards set by the 9200. Battery life isn't crucial in a desktop replacement but performance is a disappointment. It's also expensive.

Dell Inspiron Duo review

Dell's Inspiron Duo fuses a tablet with a no-holds barred netbook, but does it work?

Much as we love the flip-swivel of the 10.1in display, and its lovely, lovely looks, the Inspiron Duo’s downfall is inevitable. After all, when a tablet leaves you longing to return to a keyboard and a touchpad, there’s clearly something wrong. If you...
