Dell Inspiron 15r N5110 review

Dell has been going through an overhaul of its products, more and more taking appearance into account, the Inspiron is no exception and has had a makeover but have they still kept the value for money?

Plenty of power and features ; Value for money

The spongy keyboard

Dell Inspiron 15R review

Dell's entry-level Inspiron range gets a comprehensive overhaul

Sensible price ; Fantastic power and usability ; Excellent screen ; Much improved design ; Great storage

Dodgy sound from speakers ; Noisy fan ; Semi-irritating touchpad ; USB ports at the back of chassis ; Battery a little disappointing

Dell's Inspiron range is made up of the company's entry-level consumer laptops.

Dell Inspiron 15R (N5110)

Dell's Inspiron 15R N5110 is, like all Inspirons, a mid-range laptop. With a large 15.6-inch screen and a second generation Core i5 processor - and wireless display - it promises much, at a budget price. Does it deliver? You can't really go wrong with...

Well designed, high quality construction, with more than enough processing power, takes advantage of Intel SandyBridge

Well designed, high quality construction, with more than enough processing power, takes advantage of Intel SandyBridge

You can't really go wrong with SandyBridge, and Dell's delivered a workhorse of a home laptop. It's got enough power to handle media playback, video editing and 3D gaming, and at the same time, enough battery life to work just about anywhere. The low...

Dell Inspiron 15R N0015R33 review

The keyboard isn't backlit, but this isn't surprising at this price. Many laptops with 15.6 inch screens manage to incorporate a number pad in their keyboard, but not the Inspiron 15R. Instead the isolated keys are fairly generously spaced and there's...

The Dell Inspiron 15R N0015R33 is a well-made laptop with a solid and attractive design. It doesn't have the fastest processor, but the four USB 3.0 ports and a 1TB hard drive should please most people.

Dell Inspiron 15R 5520 review

The Dell Inspiron 15R 5520 is one of Dell's first laptops to feature an Intel Ivy Bridge processor. This notebook uses the popular 15.6in form factor combined with a modern design.

Dell's Inspiron 15R 5520 doesn't major in its wow factor. However, it is a well-rounded and stylish laptop with an attractive price tag. For less than £600 you get a powerful processor, and plenty of storage and connectivity, albeit not in an...

Dell Inspiron 15R review

We shall be reviewing the Dell Inspiron 15R (N5050) laptop today - this is not to be confused with another model which also bears the same classification of 'Dell Inspiron 15R', but comes under the subcategory of N5100, and which features a switchable...

The Dell Inspiron 15R is not exactly a laptop that will awe you with its design - the same can be said of its tech specs as well. It has a simple design and its specs are oriented towards those users looking to get a home laptop on an economical...

Dell Inspiron 15R review

Dell's Inspiron 15R looks more expensive than it is thanks to the shiny, metallic-looking wrist rest and lid. It's more than a pretty face, though, managing to strike just the right balance between features and performance.

The Inspiron 15R is a well-balanced laptop with something for everyone. Unless you need longer battery life, there's no need to spend more.
