Dell Studio 15 - 15.4in Notebook

Yet another addition to Dell's laptop line-up, but how does it fit in with the rest?

Dell's Studio 15 can be characterised in two ways. Without the 1,440 x 900 it's a very good, but not quite outstanding, 15.4 inch notebook that has a strong but not dazzling design - not at least till you opt for the Mike Ming lid designs - and...

Dell Studio 15 notebook

Dell took the world by storm when it introduced its portable XPS range last year. The portables gathered so many plaudits it was inevitable the line would be broadened. The Studio line takes the same styling as the XPS machines but uses cheaper...

Great screen, decent performance

Poor battery life

The Dell Studio 15 is a reasonable compromise between portability and price. The screen is great and the keyboard highly usable. However, battery life is poor and performance, at this price, is satisfactory rather than outstanding.

Dell Studio 1557 review

Stunning quad-core power at a great price, but mobility is inevitably flawed

Great performance ; Dedicated graphics ; Design and build

Battery life

A great laptop that offers oodles of power but if you are a regular traveller, this one might be a bit too power hungry

Dell Studio 15 review

Dell's 15" Studio is the best all-round mainstream laptop currently available at this price

Brilliant LED backlit screen ; Good keyboard ; HDMI output ; Great performance

HDD could be bigger ; Integrated graphics

Although it's not a multimedia monster it is a fantastic workhorse for the general user with enough performance for all but the graphic heavy tasks

Dell Studio 15 review

The Dell Studio 15 is an affordable 15in-screen laptop, now available with the latest high-performance Intel Core i5 dual-core processor.

Dell's design of Studio chassis is a sound foundation for building a solid laptop. Dell has managed to equip the very latest Studio 15 with enough performance and ports to make it an outstanding notebook in the key areas of comfort, longevity and...

Dell Studio 15 review

Like most of Dell's recent laptops, the Studio 15 is available in a range of colours. Unlike the Inspiron 17, none of the four lids (blue, green, purple or red) cost any more. The laptop is attractive and feels well built and sturdy.

Dell's Studio 15 is an excellent choice if you need a laptop powerful enough for gaming that also has a good battery life.

Dell Studio 1557 review

Dell's Studio 15 brings Intel's mobile Core i7 into the realms of affordability, offering quad-core power for substantially less than £1,000.

In the Studio 1557 Dell has produced a laptop whose sheer talent belies its £653 exc VAT price tag. It’s not often that a laptop manages to be good looking, comfortable to use and outperform rivals at twice its price, but this is one laptop that...

Dell Studio 15

The Studio 15 packs impressive performance for its price tag and it looks good to boot.

For the money, the Studio 15 is a very well equipped laptop and its performance scores are not to be sniffed at. It may not be the most portable of machines and its battery life is a little on the low side, but if you're happy to stay still and near...
