nice industrial design, splendid build quality, matte IPS display, good keyboard and trackpad, fast hardware, no bloatware on this version, mostly noiseless, punchy speakers, good battery life, affordable starting prices

surprisingly dim display (see the Screen chapter), charges slowly, can get hot, annoying white LED next to the trackpad, touchscreen equipped models are pricey
