Hisense Chromebook review

The $150 Hisense Chromebook is a Walmart exclusive that lives up that inexpensive, nigh-disposable ethos Google seemed to be targeting when Chrome OS was first pitched. Low prices come at a cost though, usually in terms of build quality, performance,...

The Hisense Chromebook is cheaper than its peers, the battery will get through a single workday, and its keyboard is comfortable to type on.

The speakers deliver tinny audio, and the display's viewing angles are narrow. The off-brand Rockchip CPU offers decent speed, but can't keep up with the performance of Intel's offerings.

The Hisense Chromebook offers just enough power and comfort for far less money than the competition.

Hisense Chromebook: $150 gets you a pretty decent computer

Hisense's inexpensive $150 Chromebook is a surprisingly good laptop with just enough power and battery life.

Dirt-cheap ; Great keyboard and responsive trackpad ; Lots of ports ; Decent performance and battery life for price ; Durable construction

Serious multitasking is tough with 2GB of RAM ; Keys aren't backlit ; Walmart-exclusive

For a $150 laptop, Hisense's Chromebook is surprisingly good.

The Hisense Chromebook feels cheap but will suffice for productivity and websurfing (review)

This cheap Chromebook won't impress, but it's well-matched to Google's barebones Chrome operating system.

Excellent device for the price - does way more than you would think

I first noticed this device at Walmart just before Christmas. Every time I went to the store I would always make my way to the technology department to play with it. I was trying to find reasons not to like it but each time a wasn't able to. This isn't...

Inexpensive, light weight, excellent battery, HDMI output, always on

No right button, limited without internet, display isn't HD

"Great laptop for the money!"

I received this as a birthday present and I absolutely love it! I'm only probably scratching the surface on what it is capable of doing but what I've found so far is just sweet. I just wish that there were more apps for the Chrome OS but that will...

Nice compact size great for women's hands.

Needs more apps.
