HP Elite x2 1011 G1

HP's Elite range usually comprises business laptops, but the Elite x2 1011 G1 marks a change from that particular blueprint. This is a hybrid machine with a detachable screen and a huge slate of business features.

Class-leading battery life ; Detachable tablet section ; High-quality keyboard

Underpowered internals ; Misfiring touchpad ; Chunkier than most rivals ; Mediocre screen quality

HP Elite x2 review: high quality Windows 10 2-in-1 comes with a high price

The HP Elite x2 has plenty to offer – but does it justify the cost?

Powerful range of specs ; Well built and design ; Keyboard is a pleasure to type on

Middling battery life ; Cost is on the high side ; Stylus is optional

HP Elite x2 1011 review

A strong hybrid for tough environments

Stellar battery ; Sturdy build ; Great price

Too heavy ; Poor performance ; Weak screen

This isn't a bad hybrid if you need a portable device that can handle harsh environments. It has a stellar battery than can run for almost 8 hours. However, if you need something that can do more than web browse, you might want to look elsewhere. The...

HP Elite X2 1011 G1 review

The Elite X2 1011 G1 is a well-constructed business-focussed hybrid with fantastic battery life

If you’re after a business-focused hybrid laptop, the Elite X2 has plenty of office-friendly credentials and display quality is the only real blemish on an otherwise capable machine. It’s a great choice for a run-all-day work laptop, but if you’ll be...

HP Elite x2 1011 G1 review

A Windows hybrid with some MacBook-style tricks up its sleeve

Sturdy; Good battery life; Comfortable keyboard; Stylus included; Built-in 4G

Tablet a little heavy; Niggling flaws with touchpad; Chunky and restrictive hinge

A surprisingly good Windows hybrid with lots of business features built in

HP Elite x2 1011 G1 review

A combination of superb hardware and practical software makes the HP Elite x2 1011 G1 one of the best choices for enterprise-focused convertibles, but this premium product comes with a premium price that will leave many looking elsewhere.

Good processor and performance, Power Keyboard gives long battery life, useful security and BYOD software included

Tablet is a little too reliant on the keyboard, low quality cameras, very expensive

HP Elite x2 1011 G1 hybrid laptop

A sturdy 2-in-1 device featuring Intel's silent Core M CPU

Strong build quality ; Comfortable keyboard ; Two batteries

Strong build quality means it's also heavy ; We had issues with the encryption feature ; The ForcePad isn't great ; Price

HP Elite x2 1011 G1 Tablet With Power Keyboard

The HP Elite x2 1011 G1 is a solid Windows business tablet with strong battery life, but it lacks the performance of other, more powerful detachable-hybrid models.

Svelte laptop-like design with the keyboard. Good productivity performance and very long battery life in testing.

Expensive. Poor graphics performance in our tests. Keyboard and tablet sometimes don't sync.

Conclusions The HP Elite x2 1011 G1 is a highly portable detachable-hybrid tablet. Its battery life is one of the best in its class, and its performance on our productivity tests is solid. You'll need to download the latest driver, however, to avoid...
