Can the HP Envy 13 make Dell XPS 13 owners green-eyed with jealousy?

High-quality touchscreen display ; Excellent colour space coverage ; Nicely priced

Average battery life ; No Thunderbolt 3

The HP Envy 13 2019 offers excellent performance and style at an agreeable price. It isn't quite on a par with its main competitors – but then again, it’s less expensive.

HP Envy 13 review

An enviable proposition, pity about the average battery life

Size and weight rivals MacBook Air ; New Core i7 processor ; High resolution screen

Somewhat disappointing battery life ; Hinge is uncomfortable when on your lap ; Touchpad occasionally jumpy

We were wowed by the thinness, responsiveness and overall design. However, a few niggles such as the touchpad, odd-shaped Enter key and disappointing battery life prevented this laptop from scoring higher.

HP Envy 13 review: A small but perfectly formed laptop

The new baby of the Envy family offers top value, performance and quality

Good battery life ; Great display ; Discrete graphics card

Cluttered keyboard layout ; No user upgrade options ; Slow SSD

Is the Nvidia GPU a reason to buy the Envy 13? Well, that depends entirely on what you plan on doing with it. If you want an ultracompact that can sustain some pretty serious gaming and tasks such as video rendering then that answer is unquestionably...

HP Envy 13 (2018) review

An ultra-thin work machine that can also get its game on? HP's latest gives it a go

Competitive hardware for the cash ; Dedicated graphics can handle light gaming ; Respectable battery life for an ultraportable

Touchpad can be a bit cumbersome ; Not exactly a silent runner ; Screen quality only average

The Envy 13 is a versatile mid-range ultraportable that might cut a corner or two to save some pennies, but makes up for it elsewhere. Few sub-£1k laptops can say the same

HP Envy 13 (2018) review: The best-value ultraportable you can buy?

The screen isn't the best and it certainly isn't flawless, but this is a high-quality laptop with all the power most people need

Great value ; Stylish design ; Laudable supplied ports

Budget display ; Poor battery life compared to rivals

HP Envy 13 review

Even a cursory glance will tell you the HP Envy 13 is a very nicely made premium 13-inch laptop. It's a solid slab of aluminum and magnesium, etched with interesting visual details, and filled with capable components, such as a dual-core low-voltage...

Slick, modern design; big touch pad; bright display; premium support services.

Very expensive; heavier than it looks; no backlit keyboard; limited ports and connections.

HP's upscale Envy 13 looks and feels like an expensive status symbol, with performance and features that impress us--but its high price makes it a tough sell over the similar-looking MacBook Pro.

HP Voodoo Envy 133 review

Like the Apple MacBook Air, the HP Voodoo Envy 133 sports enough interesting design choices for it to be a genuine attention-getter. Unfortunately, however, it also shares the Air's anaemic guts and, in the US at least, high price tag. We don't yet...

In price, performance, and specs, it's more than fair to compare the HP Voodoo Envy 133 with the MacBook Air and Samsung's X360. All have their share of design pros and cons. However, a number of less sexy but more functional laptops have fared well in...

HP Envy 13 review

The HP Envy 13 is a stylishly-designed laptop that packs an impressive amount of power and features into a slim and light body – making it ideal for creatives.

Nice design ; Good performance ; Excellent price ; Good selection of ports

Not the most powerful ; Only one USB-C port

The HP Envy 13 strikes the perfect balance between design, power and affordability. Don't have the cash for a MacBook? This is a great alternative.
