The power supply is almost less mobile than the unit itself, battery life

There's a definite premium for all of this desktop functionality in a portable, notebook style machine. However, if you're willing to spend the money and need a less fixed computing solution, the HP Pavilion HDX9003TX is a great choice.

If you can look past the 15-pound chassis and hefty price tag, the HDX-9000 (Penryn) laptop is your gateway to entertainment bliss.

A good looking system with top notch features and cool design, but a hefty price tag.

Gorgeous 20.1-inch display ; CPU supports high-end graphics

Very expensive ; Case shows fingerprints easily

At $3000, the earlier model is a better deal given its nearly comparable performance, but if you need extra storage and you work with high-end graphics that require an Extreme processor--and price is no object--you'll be happy with this HDX

Despite its 15.4-pound weight, the HP Pavilion HDX9000 is the sleekest 20-inch laptop in the market. But it's gonna cost you.
