Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3T review

Lenovo won't make you choose between a netbook and a tablet

Tablet option ; Solid build

Heavy ; Not great battery life

Extra features, like the tablet mode, could be useful for some people, but ultimately falls short as a netbook

Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t review

But while a netbook is great for simple tasks such as browsing the web, writing documents, listening to music or watching standard-definition videos, it just doesn't have enough CPU power to smoothly run a touchscreen. On the Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t, the...

Overall, the Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t seems more of a proof of concept than anything else. As a tablet, it’s not fun to use and it will have a negative impact on your productivity. Things could be better if Windows 7 Home Premium was installed, but the...

Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 review

The third-generation, 10.1-inch Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 is a 1.5kg business-oriented netbook that's a bit pricier per spec than the competition. Most other 10.1-inch, 1024-by-600-resolution netbooks sell for marginally less with the same 1GB Intel...

The Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 10in netbook is much more than the sum of its parts. Type and point with one before you grab something else.

Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t tablet-convertible netbook

A Lenovo netbook with a tablet-convertible touchscreen

Great keyboard, long battery life

Ships with Windows 7 Starter, no native touchscreen software, sluggish performance when as a tablet, small palm rest, gestures not always responsive, webcam placed to the right of the screen

The Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t is a tablet-convertible netbook with a touchscreen. However, a poor software implementation, slow CPU and a unfriendly design make it a frustrating product to use. An on-screen keyboard is not supplied, the screen gestures...

Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t

Tablet with a physical keyboard -- nice ; Touchscreen interface is pretty good

Cover is a fingerprint magnet ; No virtual keyboard for tablet mode

This half-netbook, half-tablet would have probably been better if it had just stuck with one genre or the other.

Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3

Useful utility software ; Excellent keyboard

Sluggish performer ; Pricey; no productivity software

Superior input ergonomics will sell this comparatively overpriced netbook.

Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t

If you can past the single-piece touchpad and lackluster speeds, the Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t is one of the few netbooks that have a rotating touch display.

Rotating screen. Multi-touch panel. Affordable netbook tablet. 2GB of RAM. Near full size keyboard.

Irritatingly small touchpad. Performance scores don't reflect the parts. Smaller-than-average battery.

Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 review: Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3

Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3

Compact body; excellent keyboard.

Awkward touch pad; cramped palm rest.

The Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3 is a marked improvement from its predecessor, the S10-2, and is one of the most compact yet comfortable Netbooks we've seen. However, it costs more than Netbooks with similar features.
