Lenovo IdeaPad Lynx review

We take a look at the Lenovo IdeaPad Lynx tablet-laptop hybrid

The Lenovo IdeaPad Lynx is due out in the UK soon, although no pricing has been announced. However, if Lenovo can get close to the US price (as listed on Amazon.com) of $600 (around £370), then it may win over people tempted by the Surface that want...

Lenovo Legion Y530 review: An affordable gaming laptop saddled with an iffy graphics card

The inexpensive Lenovo Legion Y530 will tempt budget-minded gamers, but its middling graphics card struggles to keep up with today's games, let alone tomorrow's.

Impressive quad-core CPU performance ; Relatively thin and light for a gaming laptop ; Comfy keyboard ; Above-average speakers

Falls short of 60 fps gaming visuals at maxed graphics settings ; Rear-facing ports may frustrate some users ; No memory card reader

Next up is Cinebench, a benchmark that checks how a laptop performs under a brief period of stressful CPU activity—in this case, rendering a 3D image in real time. While our HandBrake benchmark takes about an hour to complete, Cinebench is often over...

Ideapad Y530

The Lenovo IdeaPad Y530 isn't exactly made for kids, but it sure can kick out the tunes. You can tell it was designed to be a sleek all-purpose laptop that knows how to get down to business and play around a little without costing a fortune (our review...

Awesome audio output Good power/performance ratio

Annoyingly Glossy screen Needs better DVD playback software

With the Lenovo IdeaPad Y530, "You get what you pay for" isn't a bad thing. The Y530 is a good laptop built for anyone who needs to work and to sneak in a little play time on the side. And, for under a thousand bucks, it is a solid counterpoint to...

Lenovo IdeaPad Y530 Laptop Review

Awesome audio output ; Good power/performance ratio

Annoyingly Glossy screen ; Needs better DVD playback software

The Y530 isn't going to break any speed records, but for everyday work and rocking out in the off-hours, it's a solid choice.

Lenovo IdeaPad Y530 review: Lenovo IdeaPad Y530

Lenovo IdeaPad Y530

Simple, subdued design with solid construction; reasonably priced; light-touch media controls; Dolby Home Theater sound with four speakers plus subwoofer; face recognition software; decent battery life.

Overly reflective screen; heavier than similar-size systems.

Though its subdued design may strike some as square, but the midsize Lenovo IdeaPad Y530 delivers a decent media experience for less than $1,000.

Lenovo IdeaPad 110-17IKB 80VK0001GE Notebook Review

Flawed. This IdeaPad is available for 500 Euros (~$526). On the plus side, the laptop offers a strong Kaby Lake processor with dual-channel RAM and lots of storage space. However, the weak case and the dark, reflective screen can cause problems.

lots of storage space ; AC-WLAN

dark, reflective screen with poor viewing angles ; only Fast Ethernet ; no Type-C USB ; noisy fan

This 17.3-inch Lenovo model is made for private users who need a simple office notebook for their homes. The Core i5 processor of our test model was the right choice. However, the Radeon GPU seems to be more of a "nice to have, but can live without"...

Lenovo IdeaPad V110-17IKB 80V20006GE Notebook Review

Room for Improvement. This 17.3-inch Lenovo model offers a powerful Intel Kaby Lake processor, lots of storage space and Windows 10 Professional, but it has its weak points: the model has only one Fast Ethernet interface, the display has low brightness...

matte screen ; lots of storage space ; barely heats up ; AC WLAN

display has low brightness, weak contrast and poor viewing angles ; only Fast Ethernet ; limited to 1 year warranty ; no Type-C USB ; fan makes whistling noises when it gets fast

The Lenovo IdeaPad is a 17.3-inch office notebook, which is aimed at individuals and small companies. The laptop offers sufficient performance thanks to a Kaby Lake processor. The model never gets too warm or too loud while idle. The notebook is...

Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11 Review

With the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11, we've got the smaller cousin of the IdeaPad 13, this 11-inch display-toting machine working with a size that's not just smaller physically. Inside this device we've got the NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor paired with...

You’ll have to think this one through – unlike the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13, you’ve not got a full-powered PC on your hands here. This device is made to be a traveler, and certainly not your one single machine if you’ve got a computer-based job. Should...

Lenovo IdeaPad Y530 Review

The IdeaPad Y530 has a very low-key design with an all-black shell similar to the ThinkPad notebooks. On closer inspection the black surface has a crosshatch pattern for mild styling and easy gripping. Inside the notebook the black exterior changes to...

Good build quality ; Excellent sounding speaker system ; Comfortable keyboard and touchpad

Weak NVIDIA 9300M graphics card ; Super glossy "frameless" display is very reflective

The Lenovo IdeaPad Y530 has a durable chassis and great sounding sound system, but could be improved in the graphics department. Limited to the NVIDIA 9300M dedicated graphics card which can be found in some netbooks, the Y530 doesn't perform that well...
