LG Gram 17 (2020) Review | Trusted Reviews

The LG Gram 17 was the best 17-inch laptop of 2019 and it's just got even better thanks to a processor upgrade, larger battery and an upgraded display

Unbelievably lightweight and ultraportable design;Superb 17-inch display ;Great battery life;Improved processor performance

Gaming performance with Ice Lake is disappointing ;Bland design compared to rivals;Annoyingly reflective screen

LG Gram 17 (2020) review: huge screen, thin chassis, impressive laptop

The LG Gram 17 is just about the best 17-inch laptop out there for non-gamers

Huge, bright, sharp screen ; Plenty to like about the design ; Very good internal spec

Graphics aren't up to much ; It'll cost you quite a bit ; A large laptop to carry around

LG Gram 17 review: Big yet brilliantly portable

This 17-inch laptop is designed for portability - a rare thing at this scale. It's ultra-light given its screen, but does that mean compromise?

Huge screen ; Very light ; Long battery life

Reflective screen surface ; A dense and rigid feel is traded for low weight

This is the only 17-inch laptop made for those after a big-screen portable rather than a huge, powerful workstation. It's ultra-light for the size, which makes it mighty impressive.

LG Gram 17 review

One of very few thin and light laptops that gets the bigger picture

Giant screen for an ultraportable ; All-day working battery life ; Not many direct rivals

Awkward keyboard layout ; Lacking in power for the price ; Who's it for?

Anyone desperate for a big-screen laptop they can carry anywhere will be well served by the LG Gram, but with performance on par with most 13in machines, it's a niche prospect

LG gram 17 (2020)

LG's huge gram 17 laptop might look the same but comes with various internal upgrades. Whether it costs too much is another matter

LG Gram 17 (2020) review: A big-screen desktop replacement that’s also shockingly portable

It's not the fastest performer on the block, but this plus-sized laptop has a fantastic screen and is astonishingly light

Terrifically portable for its size ; Big, high-quality display ; Excellent battery life

Screen isn’t Retina-sharp ; Not touch-enabled ; Construction feels a tad flimsy

If you’ve the slightest interest in a big-screen laptop, therefore, we strongly recommend you give the Gram 17 a serious look before investing in one of the usual 13in suspects. It won’t be right for everyone but what we can say with confidence is that...

LG Gram 17 review: Lightweight XL laptop FINALLY goes on sale in the UK

The 17in version of the LG Gram has a lot to live up to. Thankfully, it's just as impressive as last time

Lightweight ; High quality display ; Amazing battery life

Tinny speakers ; Slow SSD speeds

There’s little negative to say about the LG Gram 17. Apart from its slow sequential SSD speeds and sub-par speakers, it really is the full package, combining an elegant and lightweight design with nippy performance and battery life to write home about....

LG gram 17 review

One of the thinnest and lightest laptops ever made, with enough performance for serious design work.

Super-thin, super-lightweight design ; Excellent performance

No discrete graphics card ; Wobbly screen ; Weak audio

The LG Gram has a lovely large screen, enough performance for graphics work and is incredibly light. There’s no other laptop really quite like it, and it’s not extortionately priced either.

LG Gram 17 review: The oversized thin-and-light no one asked for

The LG Gram 17 is an impressive display of what laptop makers can achieve if they focused solely on shaving pounds and inches. It's incredibly thin and light for something packing a 17-inch screen, and is a gorgeous canvas for movies and multitasking....

Thin and light design ; Gorgeous roomy display ; Good battery life for the size

Undersized Backspace and Enter keys ; Middling performance for the size ; Unclear who the audience is
