A slate-style Tablet PC with plenty of features aimed at the fieldworker

Good feature set ; Responsive screen ; Comfortable to hold ; Speedy performance

Quite heavy ; Limited performance

Motion Computing F5

The Motion Computing F5 is not for everyone, but health-care professionals will love its RFID scanner, sleek design, and mobile broadband.

RFID and bar code scanner. Sleek design with carrying handle. Semi-ruggedized to withstand spills and drops. Outdoor-viewable screen. Built-in Sprint EV-DO modem.

Miserable performance scores. Only hospitals can afford it. Lack of connectivity ports might make customers look elsewhere.

Semi-rugged design ; Water resistant and can withstand drops ; Lightweight ; View anywhere screen ; 3-year field warranty

No USB ports on the body, have to have dock ; White and grey color gets dirty easily

Overall my impressions of the F5 are good. It's magnesium alloy chassis is durable, but still lightweight. The design is solid and fun to play with. Keep in mind the F5 is not meant to be a consumer tablet. It is for business use and field work. Motion...
