Razer hits the ultraportable bullseye with its first throw

Stylish and very well made ; Funky RGB-backlit keyboard ; Point of entry into the Razer lifestyle

256GB SSD too small for the price ; The competition offers better battery life ; Fan's a bit noisy

Forget that it is the first effort, the Razer Book 13 is a very, very good ultraportable and an outstanding first attempt at a productivity machine by Razer.

Everyone knows that Razer makes high end gaming laptops that can be in excess of £3000 - but what if

Looks professional with CNC aluminium uni-body design.

Glossy touchscreen can attract fingerprints and cause glare.

If you’re in the market for a high-end, ultra-portable, compact system for productivity then the Razer Book 13 is definitely worth buying if your budget allows for it.

We don't mind the Razer Book 13's higher price given its slick design and lack of bloatware, not to mention the solid overall performance. But the keyboard is surprisingly subpar, making it a harder sell.
