Samsung Series 9 NP900X3D

Laptops don't get much thinner and lighter than this.

Very slim, very light ; Attractive design ; Versatile matt screen

CPU not hugely powerful ; Low screen resolution

Fitting a discrete graphics chip into a shell this small without the whole laptop melting under use would be tricky, but be aware that the integrated Intel HD 4000 can only handle older games or less demanding newer ones at lower settings. However,...

Samsung Series 9 NP900X3D review

The Windows Ultrabook to beat?

128GB SSD ; Good performance ; Impressive design ; Thin and light ; Good image quality

Older Core i5 CPU ; Screen resolution could be better ; More powerful and cheaper rivals

Despite some issues, we believe the NP900X4D is a good buy, if not a truly excellent one. You won't walk out of the shop feeling like you've been ripped off, but you certainly won't feel like you've got the steal of the century, either. We'd advise you...

Samsung Series 9 900X3D review

The price has been cut, but so has the quality - this laptop is a little underpowered and battery life isn't as good as we'd expect

Samsung NP-900X3D review

The original Series 9 that launched back in 2011 was expensive, but it was one of the first Ultrabooks created for Intel and its strikingly slim and stylish design really stood out from the crowd; all Ultrabooks owe their existence and their style to...

A weight of just 1.2 kg for a 13.3-inch laptop is still hard to beat, and the Series 9 may appeal to someone who needs an ultra-portable laptop for everyday use. You may find it discounted now by £200 or more but it’s still not especially competitive....

Samsung Series 9 NP900X3D Windows 8 ultrabook review - Liliputing

Samsung has been offering a line of ultrabooks since before they were called ultrabooks. The Samsung Series 9 line of laptops including thin and light cases, solid state disks, and Intel Core family processors.

A year ago most ultrabooks sold for around $1000 and up. Today you can find models priced as low as $600 or as high as $1500. The Samsung Series 9 sits somewhere in the middle — and the model I purchased offers pretty strong performance for the price.

Samsung NP900X3D-A01UK

Very light and fast ultrabook. Screen is bright and can be viewed at most angles.

Case gives the impression of a aluminium chassis but much of it is plastic. Not sure how long it will last the knocks and bangs of portable life. Having said that, it is a sturdy computer, just an aluminium base as well as screen top would have been...

I am not "Samsinging" about this one

Damn my luck with laptops. First I had a MacBook Pro, a £1600 heap of JUNK that broke down shortly after the warranty expired. Then I bought a HP Envy Sleekbook that had massive problems when opening the screen, it in fact stripped away the framework...

Looks great, light, will get you noticed

Windows 8, hard drive, terrible graphics
