Samsung R522 - 15.6in Notebook

Samsung brings a little style and refinement to the mid-range laptop sector with the R522-FA01UK.

Samsung has also integrated a 2-megapixel webcam above the screen. Unlike previous machines, though, the microphone is also above the screen instead of by the keyboard. This makes a lot more sense, even if Samsung has opted to put the mic in the corner...

Samsung R522 review

The Samsung R522 is a comfortable and stylish laptop, but is limited when it comes to media use

Comfortable use ; Good battery life

Sub-par performance ; Features like Bluetooth missing

A good laptop that just fails to outperform some others available

Samsung R522 notebook

Samsung's R-series targets those on a budget, offering impressive features and quality at decent prices. The R522 is a 15.6-inch laptop that offers comfort, style and decent office performance. The Samsung R522 is a capable laptop, but it's difficult...

Reasonable value, good office performance, comfortable keyboard

Integrated graphics, lacks any stand-out features

The Samsung R522 is a capable laptop, but it’s difficult to get enthusiastic about it. Styling is neat, performance is capable, features are average - in no way is it a bad laptop. Unlike some of Samsung’s smaller offerings, however, it’s also not a...

Samsung - R522

With a compact and relatively lightweight design, the R522 from Samsung is an attractive laptop aimed at those who want reasonable performance on-the-go. The core specs are solid enough: Intel Core 2 Duo T6400 processor, 4GB ...

We can't fathom why Samsung neglected to include 802.11n wireless support, but with its decent battery life, reasonable performance and overall good looks, the R522 is good value at this price. Its use of integrated graphics means 3D performance is...

Samsung R522

Cheap 'n' cheerful Core 2 Duo, but lacks 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The keyboard won't suit all tastes and we were hoping for slightly better battery life, but on the whole this is a decent budget laptop from Samsung. That said, the bizarre decision to go with 802.11g wireless and the total lack of Bluetooth may be...

Review Samsung R522-Aura Notebook

Gaming Beginner. Samsung provides a, in view of configuration, at

Very good value for money ratio; System performance; Gaming performance; Configuration; Quality of manufacturing; Interface distribution; HDMI, eSATA included; Battery life and emission without load

USB ports on the right could be obstructive; High emissions under longer load; Omission of Bluetooth; Small touchpad; Sound; Reflective display with average contrast

The competition of the middle class is quite big, here a few examples: Asus N51V, Toshiba A500 15H or the Acer Aspire 5739G.

Samsung R522-JS01UK

The piano black surface is great to look at but it gathers dust and leaves finger prints like no other! Keyboard could be of higher quality but overall very good product.
