Logitech Squeezebox Boom

Got a large digital music collection you want to access around the home? The Squeezebox Boom could be right up your street.

out of place. At least it functions as you'd expect and has a decent range. There's even a dedicated snooze/sleep button so you don't have to get out of bed before rolling over for another ten minutes beauty sleep.

Logitech Squeezebox Boom

The Boom plays everything and sounds great, but it could be easier to use

Detailed playback; decent performance across the frequency range; Napster and Last.fm support

Menu system takes some getting used to

Logitech Squeezebox Boom review

Logitech's Squeezebox Boom is an attractive network music streamer and internet radio with sharp looks and great speakers.

We really liked the Logitech Squeezebox Boom, though arguably setup and feature navigation on the largely similar Philips NP2900 product was easier still. It’s a chunkier device than the Philips but would still fit neatly on a shelf or bedside table...

Logitech Squeezebox Boom review

It seems curious that, after almost a decade of music streaming, adding a Wi-Fi or Ethernet port to a fairly standard mini hi-fi like the Philips Streamium seems to add a zero to its price tag. Finally, though, complete streaming systems like the...

Logitech Squeezebox Classic review

The Squeezebox Classic is a lusciously curvy model sporting a rather fetching black and silver outfit and operating via Ethernet or wireless, and happy with PC or Mac

Pricey but mass file format acceptance makes it the ideal partner for high-end hi-fi gear

Logitech Squeezebox Boom review

Logitech's Squeezebox Boom is a network music streamer and Internet radio that sounds good.

Decent sound, good looks, great speakers, relatively simple set-up, Napster Library playback

Not everything is as intuitive as it should be

Logitech Squeezebox Boom

This Wi-Fi-enabled internet radio from Logitech plays virtually any music format, including MP3, FLAC, WMA, AAC, WAV and AIFF. The Squeezebox Boom also boasts Stereo XL technology, six-button presets, a bright high-contrast VFD display and measures...

There’s no faulting the Squeezebox for what it does (play music well) or how loud it does it (er, loudly). It’s what it doesn’t do (work without a computer, pick up normal radio) that makes us doubt we can squeeze a full £200 of value from it. Logitech...
