Acer F900 review

 

Global PC vendor Acer made its first move into the smartphones market at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last month and we had a chance to sit down and try out a few of the new devices in Taipei.

Overall the Acer F900 is a very nice smartphone and certainly a good first effort for Acer.

A decent handset marred by a memory hungry graphical UI and the lack of a decent media player to optimise viewing on its rather fine 3.8in screen. Fair value though.

If cost was not an option and we had to choose between the F900 and HTC's HD we would have to pick the latter. It's better looking, the screen is more reactive and the OS runs faster due to it having more available system memory. That's not to say the...
