Casio G'zOne Ravine 2 review: Casio G'zOne Ravine 2

Casio G'zOne Ravine 2

The ; has a durable build that should withstand a lot of abuse. Call quality is admirable and the navigation controls are spacious and easy to use.

The Ravine 2 has a 2.5mm headset jack, and its photo quality is subpar.

The Casio G'zOne continues Casio's long tradition of ultrarugged phones with the bonus of improved call quality.

Casio G'zOne Ravine 2 (Verizon Wireless)

The screens are essentially unchanged, with a 1.4-inch, 128-by-128-pixel, passive matrix display on the outside, and a 2.2-inch, active matrix, 240-by-320-pixel internal display. Casio passed on an opportunity here; while passive-matrix external...

Good call quality. Attractive, rugged design. Slimmer than before

No music player. Subpar camera. Screen whines

A modest evolution of the first model, the Ravine 2 is still a killer rugged phone for frequent talkers, although it's not the slam dunk it was last year.

"The worst phone I have ever used."

This is a total piece of junk. My first one started having issues in less than two weeks. I thought I was doing something wrong so I gave it more time. I finally gave up after a month and tried to get it fixed. They replaced it with a refurbished...

The flash light is pretty nice. Takes a long time to turn on or off but it works in a pinch.

I'm not a heavy user and the battery only lasts 2 days. No music player. Barely works with Bluetooth lots of static. I even bought a new Jabra and same static issue unless you hold it up to the headset which is pointless.

"It's pretty bad."

I have had the phone about 5 months. I have to charge the battery everyday and I am not a heavy user. Maybe 5 calls a day, 1 photo sent 5 or 6 text, and a little solitaire. The door to the charger port broke off. The calendar and alarm clock alarms...

Lots of room for quick text. Sound quality is good.

Battery life if really bad.

Not as Good as Previous G,Z One phones

Ringtone not as loud as previous phones.I would say It's @ least 5 Decibels less. Also my previous phone would repeat the person who called me every time along with the Ringtone. This 1 only says the Name Once. Casio seems to be Downgrading the quality...

Rugged & Durable! G'Z One Gear

I would give this phone 5 stars if it wasnt for cons!

Would be a complete winner if for not the screen issue. The phone has never been abused. Casio has made this phone to be indestructable, but forgot to make it anti-self-destructible. If you can get past that, than a great phone for those who wish not...

supposedbly indestructible 3 alarm clocks, and very loud, I work in a boiler house and I can definitly hear it over the equipment. LED flashlight which is very bright. quick recharge time decent battery life big and bright screen, easy to read

first month had the inside screen picture invert itself and flip upside down on me, had phone replaced 6 month inside screen went blank. cannot change anything. Having phone replaced agn. Verizon customer service has been great on this issue

Durable phone. Can't send more than 3 pics in a message

Not a bad phone if you don't want to upgrade to a smart phone. Minor setbacks.

Durable, waterproof, impact resistant.

Cant send more than 3 pics at a time. Slow response to input.

Returned within two hours because it is much too loud.

Don't bother. If you don't want a Smart phone, buy a cheaper one for a fraction of the price and expect to replace it in 6 months. You'll still come out ahead, and you won't be partially deafened. Also: you'll be charged a $35 restocking fee, so it's...

Supposedly reasonably sturdy, though it felt like cheap plastic.

$$$$$ for what you get.

Good phone but it has an echo when I speak.

The phone is rugged as it says.

There is an echo when I speak. Anyone know how to fix this? Email me at dray0506@hotmail.com if you know what I should do.
