Doro Liberto 820

What a difference an update makes

Robust and easy to handle ; Charging dock included ; Dedicated Assistance button ; Dead simple to use

More expensive than better-specced phones ; Low-resolution screen ; Average camera

Plug the included headphones in and things sound much better. The in-ear headphones double up as a hands-free kit thanks to a microphone on the cord and an FM radio aerial. They’re basic, but do the job so you can listen to your favourite radio shows...

Doro Liberto 820 Review: In Depth

We review the Doro Liberto 820 mobile phone, the very first Doro smartphone for seniors, packing a new easy-use Android and an 8-megapixel camera. We...

Robust design ; Charging dock ; Easy-to-use Android ; Capable camera

Fiddly keyboard

Doro’s Liberto 820 is an excellent debut smartphone from the master of senior-friendly handsets. Android can appear horribly complex to smartphone virgins but Doro has extended almost every kind of assistance imagineable, from the reworked desktops and...

At around £250 SIM-free, the Doro Liberto 820 isn't particularly cheap, especially when it's likely to be competing with hand-me-down smartphones for your gran's pocket space. Its super-simple interface and extremely helpful remote access make it a...

Because it has now been replaced by the 825 this model is very good value. We already had one and, except for the problem mentioned, it has been excellent. Design has only been marked down because the use of mechanical buttons where they are not needed...

The weak point is the use of mechanical keys for 3 actions on the front panel. On another one of these phones the Home button failed within 2 days. The phone was replaced by the retailer without question. It would be good to have a loud phone like the...
