HTC 7 Trophy

As one of the most affordable Windows Phone 7 handsets, this is definitely one of the better choices out there.

HTC 7 Trophy review

Solid, but little to set it apart from the WP7 pack

It's tricky to recommend the HTC 7 Trophy over other handsets because there's so little that marks it out. Sure, it has the HTC Hub to download apps like the Flashlight and Notes, and excellent Sound Enhancer (although this is only available through an...

HTC 7 Trophy review

Is the cheap price of this Windows Phone 7 handset worth the sacrifices?

Beautiful operating system ; Fast and highly responsive ; Great Facebook integration ; Good music playback with SRS Enhancement ; Free on contract

OS is still missing some features ; Battery life is a bit disappointing ; Camera was a let down, especially video recording ; Can't expand the 8GB storage ; Awkward sleep/wake button

The assault of Windows Phone 7 devices may seem like a bit too much to take in, but we beg you to forget the HTC HD7, the HTC 7 Mozart, the Samsung Omnia 7 and the LG Optimus 7 and just take a few minutes to appreciate the HTC 7 Trophy.

HTC 7 Trophy

To many the HTC 7 Trophy, made by HTC and exclusively available in the UK on Vodafone, is the runt of the Windows Phone 7 litter. But is that really the case, and should you avoid it? Read on to find out. It's not the prettiest, nor is it the most...

Cheap, small, quick, easy to use

Nothing that breaks out from all the other WP7 handsets on sale

It’s not the prettiest, nor is it the most feature-packed Windows Phone 7 handset out there, but what the HTC 7 Trophy offers is a cheap entry point into the new Microsoft eco-system. In the UK, the HTC 7 Trophy is free with a £25-a-month contract....

HTC 7 Trophy review

The Trophy sounds as though it ought to be the crowning glory in HTC's Windows Phone 7 line-up; in fact, it's overshadowed by the HD7. Like the HD7, it takes a 1GHz processor, but has a smaller 3.8in display with a sharp 480x800-pixel resolution. The...

There’s nothing much wrong with the HTC 7 Trophy, but it does little to distinguish itself from the Windows Phone 7 crowd and, despite being the entry-level model for this mobile platform, it’s outshone by cheaper Android devices.

HTC 7 Trophy review

A smart phone with a large screen, fast processor and plenty of storage, but Windows Phone 7 isn't yet up to the standard of other mobile operating systems.

Of the three Windows Phone 7 phones coming from HTC this year, the HTC Trophy is the one that's being pitched Xbox gamers the most. We took the HTC 7 Trophy to town to see what it has to offer to gamers…

HTC 7 Trophy review -

Great size and build, clear 3.8-inch display

A little too much like the other WP7 phones to really stand out

HTC - HTC 7 Trophy

Windows Phone 7 is available on a number of smartpones - some of them, like the HTC 7 Trophy, exclusive to a single network. In the case of the Trophy, that network is Vodafone, which is ...

We aren't yet convinced that Windows Phone 7 has what it takes to gain an edge on Android, iOS and RIM's operating system for BlackBerry. But Microsoft is certainly working hard on it - and the HTC 7 Trophy shows it off to good effect.

HTC 7 Trophy Review

The WP7 handsets have a pretty standard set of features, with each boasting a little extra, such as an excellent camera. The Trophy is a more subtle device, which has neither huge display or high-res snapper, but it works very well and is quietly...

: Speedy touch-screen, huge 4.3in HD display, excellent social networking facilities

: Nothing to make it stand out from the other WP7 devices

In the main, we were impressed with the Trophy. It's a decent handset to use although it has no wow features, but with understated style, solid build quality and the excellent WP7 operating system, we think HTC is onto a winner.
