HTC Arrive Review

Android has swallowed a major chunk of the mobile market giving other mobile operating systems a stiff contest. While Nokia's Symbian has lost its charm just like the company's smartphones, Blackberry and iPhone have still managed to keep up a good...

The configuration that the HTC Arrive ships in with seems more like one year old, fairly stale for a so called fresh product in the market. When pinned against its rivals, the phone fails to stand out because a wide list of missing features. The...

HTC Arrive review

We review the HTC Arrive, the first Windows Phone 7 device to run on a CDMA network

Comes with latest update, including copy and paste ; Well-spaced keys

Not as many apps available

The HTC Arrive is a refreshing addition to the Windows Phone 7 family. The keyboard is easy to use and the latest version of Windows Phone 7 fits nicely.

HTC Arrive review

Though it was teased late last year -- on the same day that HTC announced its very first Windows Phone 7 devices, in fact -- the company's

Typical HTC build, design ; Superb keyboard ; Solid battery life

Mediocre display ; Windows Phone 7 still behind competition ; Not a global phone

HTC Arrive (Sprint) review

First known as the HTC 7 Pro at its New York unveiling , the HTC Arrive is Sprint's inaugural foray into the brave new world of Windows Phone 7. And the Arrive also represents two other minor "firsts": it's the first CDMA Windows Phone 7 phone in the...

The HTC Arrive features a durable design with a responsive QWERTY keyboard and a tilting screen. It's the first Windows Phone 7 device to ship with Microsoft's cut-and-paste feature.

The HTC Arrive's heavy and bulky body will weigh some people down, and it requires some pressure to slide open the keyboard. Its camera could be better, and we were hoping for 4G WiMax support.

The HTC Arrive, Sprint's first Windows 7 phone, is a solid effort that largely delivers, although it will disappoint those looking for a 4G smartphone.

HTC Arrive

Windows Phone 7 adds another to its ranks with its first CDMA offering, the HTC Arrive on Sprint. The Arrive (Price TBA with a new two-year contract) is not the best looking phone out there, but its dazzling screen will draw quite a few eyes.

Zippy interface ; Comfortable in your hand

Copy and paste is a hassle ; Keyboard keys could be bigger

A decent Windows Phone 7 offering for Sprint customers, but its 4G Android counterpart might be more enticing.

HTC Arrive (Sprint)

Sprint's first Windows Phone, the HTC Arrive is a well-built smartphone, but it can't access Sprint's speedy 4G network.

Well built with an excellent physical keyboard. Smooth OS with great games.

No 4G. Many screens don't work in landscape mode. So-so camera. Some audio won't play over Bluetooth headsets.

Sprint's major contribution is a TeleNav-powered GPS app that locked into my location quickly and accurately, and works perfectly in landscape mode. That's a big bonus over Microsoft's Maps app, which doesn't work properly with the keyboard open.

HTC Arrive Review

Windows Phone 7 launched last fall, but without CDMA support a vast majority of users in the US have yet to be exposed to the complete overhaul of Windows Mobile. This drought has come to the end with the launch of the HTC Arrive for Sprint. Though...

HTC Arrive – Big display

This cellphone was first known as HTC 7 Pro when I first saw it at the New York unveiling and this handset is the first foray of Sprint in to the world of Windows Phone 7. Apart from that, it is the first Windows Phone 7 on CDMA networks and also the...

HTC Arrive (Sprint) Review

The Arrive is a good phone, but is somewhat hampered by the beta nature of Windows Phone 7. Similarly, not everything is perfect about the hardware, as it's a bit thick and the buttons aren't the most well designed of any phone we've ever seen. If you...

Solid feel to the device, Brilliant, vivid 3.6-inch screen, Slide out keyboard for heavy typing, Good social network integration

A bit thick at .61 inches, Buttons feel oddly sized and a bit strangely placed, Windows Phone 7 feels like it hasn’t been finely tuned yet, Single rear-facing mediocre camera

HTC Arrive Review

The HTC Arrive will be Sprint's first device running Microsoft's Windows Phone 7, plus it will have a QWERTY keyboard and a slide-and-tilt screen. It's not going to be released until Sunday, but Jen Edwards brings us her first impressions of it now.

Comfortable size ; Excellent display ; Responsive performance ; Very good voice quality

Keyboard may not be right for some ; Disappointing camera ; Hit or miss navigation experience
