HTC HD7 vs. Samsung Galaxy S vs. Apple iPhone4 (Screen Test)

During a series of tests from CNET.com now we can compare such cute devices as HTC HD7, Apple iPhone 4 and Samsung Nexus S in terms of the screen. If at the first glance we can think that HTC HD7 will get the title of the worst device in the list, then...

HTC HD7S (AT&T)

The HTC HD7S is a powerful Windows Phone 7 device that's let down by two very basic problems: call quality and battery life.

Large screen. Powerful multimedia performance. Kickstand for watching video.

Loud background hiss during calls. Choppy call quality. Middling camera and camcorder. Awful battery life.

Apps, Multimedia, and Conclusions The HD7S, like its HD7 counterpart on T-Mobile, runs Windows Phone 7. The live tile interface is fun to use, and is refreshingly different than what Android and iOS offer. Under the hood is a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon...

HTC HD7S review

Editors' note: Portions of this review were taken from our evaluation of the HTC HD7.

The HTC HD7S offers a sharper Super LCD touch screen with a built-in kickstand. The Windows Phone device ships with the NoDo update, which brings copy-and-paste and performance improvements.

There was a constant background hiss during phone calls. Camera quality could be better.

The HTC HD7S offers the benefit of a large touch screen with a sharp picture and fast performance, but it falls short of the smartphone competition in terms of camera and call quality.

HTC HD7S Review

More than six months in since Microsoft brought its new mobile platform to the scene, we haven't witnessed anything new in terms of hardware for AT&T's Windows Phone 7 lineup, but customers can now opt to pick up the HTC HD7S for the golden price of...

HTC HD7S Reviewed: WP7 at AT&T

The HTC HD7S is an interesting release for mid 2011, as it is running on Windows Phone 7. With market share faltering on the Windows Phone 7 platform, it's quite a brave choice to release a smartphone using it. The original HD7 was met with decent...

The HTC HD7S is well designed and the display is crisp and beautiful but it falters in other areas which is extremely unfortunate. Overall the HD7S ranks in 'Below Average' when compared to other higher end smartphones, and with a price point of $200...

AT&T HTC HD7S Review

The HD7S is the AT&T version of the Windows Phone 7 HD7 from HTC. In this review, we cover specs, hardware, software, and more! Read on for the review

Large 4.3" Super LCD screen ; Windows Phone 7 OS is smooth, refined ; Flip out kickstand integrated with the camera rim ; Dual LED flash on the 5MP camera ; Better hardware buttons

Windows Phone 7 still lacks some key features that you might be used to from other platforms ; No expandable storage (16GB only) ; External speaker is mono, not stereo. Poor sound quality compared to the HTC Surround ; Super LCD screen makes color...

If you're an AT&T customer who loved the 4.3 inch screen on the HTC HD2, are interested in the new Windows Phone 7, and haven't already bought a Samsung Focus, you might like the HD7S. It's the only Windows Phone 7 with a large 4.3-inch screen, but...

HTC HD7S Review - Windows Phone Reviews by MobileTechReview

AT&T is no stranger to Windows Phone 7 smartphones. Among US carriers, they offer the broadest selection with 3 models, the Samsung Focus, HTC Surround and LG Quantum. Make that 4 models on June 5 when the HTC HD7S joined the team. This is a tweaked an...

Large Super LCD display, very enjoyable OS

Not 4G, will have to wait until fall 2011 for more OS features

The HTC HD7S is currently our top pick among Windows 7 Phones. However, we understand if you opt for the also capable Samsung Focus for its Super AMOLED display and slightly more pocketable form factor. The Focus is currently less expensive since it's...

Consumer review (cnet.com)

Perfect for me.

Wonderful phone! I traded my iPhone 4S to my sister for this phone, she didn't like it and I felt like I needed a change. Boy, did I make the best decision! This phone works and operates swimmingly, I love the live tiles and the people hub. The...

Huge, vibrant screen. Operating system (7.5 Mango) works, looks, and runs beautifully. Kickstand is so neat, gets 'Ooohs and Ahhs' wherever I go.

Call quality is bad. There is a constant static hiss in the background. Camera takes terrible low-light photos. Touch sensitive keys easy to hit accidentally. Speaker is in an odd location by the camera, quality is tinny and cheap sounding.

This is the lost stable and responsive phone I have ever used. Most people who complain about MS' new mobile OS have never used it before. At work I have used Android and iOS devices, Windows Phone blows them away in terms of ease of use, stability,...
