HTC Touch Cruise review

HTC's Windows Mobile smart phone gets sat-nav

Responsive touch screen GPS with TomTom sat-nav, 3 megapixel camera, HSDPA, Wi-Fi

Heavier than original Touch, no camera flash, average pictures, poor video quality, no 3.5mm headphone jack

Not the first choice for camera or music player, but as a do-everything smartphone with sat-nav, it takes some beating.

HTC Touch Cruise smartphone

The HTC Touch Cruise is the basis for the O2 Xda Orbit 2 and is also referred to as the HTC P3650. It runs the Windows Mobile 6 OS, which we don't cover in detail here. Overall, if you are looking for a smartphone with all the options, then this does...

HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, solid feel, Touch Cube

Volume slider rattles, no keyboard may deter some, negligible storage

Overall, if you are looking for a smartphone with all the options, then this does pretty much everything. If you are happy with Windows Mobile, then the HTC Touch Cruise packs a lot of action into a small package.

The Touch Cruise is HTC's latest Windows Mobile smartphone to use the TouchFlo interface, which we saw previously on the Touch and Touch Dual.

HTC Touch Cruise

Known previously as the HTC Polaris this is now known as the HTC Touch Cruise. It's the replacement for the HTC Artemis - y'know, that phone we here as the T-Mobile Compact III. The Tom Cruise... sorry, I keep doing that. The Touch Cruise no...

I took this device on a day out. We decided to go to the local safari park and, I’ll be honest, I had no way of knowing how to get there. I turned on the Tom Cruise (now that sounds weird) and punched in the postcode. It located me, directed me all the...

HTC Cruise

The Cruise's spec sheet includes a 2.8-inch touchscreen, a three-megapixel camera with autofocus, built-in GPS with TomTom software, HSDPA, and multimedia staples FM radio, MP3 player and video player. It also uses HTC's TouchFLO technology. Its...

One of the better Touch smartphones from HTC. The satnav works well and there's plenty more besides. Just don't rely on the camera too much! And don't get us started on the Cruise control... HTC Cruise is tagged with HTC, mobile phone, GPS device and...

Responsive touch screen ; Touch Cube interface ; GPS with TomTom sat-nav ; 3 megapixel camera ; HSDPA (3.6Mbps) ; Wi-Fi ; 1GB microSD card supplied

Chunkier than previous Touches ; No camera flash ; Poor video record ; No 3.5mm headphone jack plug

Shiny Review: HTC Touch Cruise

The HTC Touch still causes some people in Shiny Towers to give a small orgasmic shudder (disclaimer: this is an exaggeration) and to me nothing could be more perfect that taking a lovely phone and shoving a sat nav in. I'm one of those crazy Londoners...

HTC Touch Cruise

The Touch Cruise is not a bad take on a feature-crammed smartphone, but there is stiff competition out there.

HTC's characteristic TouchFLO look is here, and there is a strong range of features.

We didn't find the flat screen as responsive to touch as we would like.
