Honor 7X review: Bezel-less on a budget | Trusted Reviews

Honor 7X review: A bezel-less screen on a budget, but is it actually any good?

All-screen design for a low price ; Fine 6-inch 18:9 screen ; Camera reasonably capable

Second camera features somewhat gimmicky ; So-so battery life ; EMUI still heavy-handed

Xiaomi Redmi 5 review

The best low-cost smartphone?

Vibrant 18:9 display ; Handy design ; Value for money

Dated Android version ; 720p display resolution

The Redmi 5 is undoubtedly a complete smartphone and has all the necessary inclusions like a bigger display and the latest chipset. But, it isn't as striking or as fresh as the Honor 9 Lite that comes for Rs 10,999.

Honor 7X

It has a six-inch 18:9 screen, a metal body and dual cameras, thus ticking some major boxes for a lot of buyers. Here's our Honor 7X review.

Honor 7X review: The new mid-range smartphone king with an 18:9 display

At only £270, the Honor 7X is the cheapest 18:9 smartphone on the market. It has a gorgeous design and a competent dual-lens camera, too

18:9 display for under £300 ; Stunning design and build quality ; Good dual-lens camera

Below-par battery life ; MicroUSB port ; No NFC

For only a little more, you can buy the Honor 9 which at only £308 is a ridiculously good considering we reviewed it at £380. If an 18:9 display isn’t your must-have, then get the Honor 9 instead. But both are fantastic phones that offer unbelievable...

Honor 7X review

Big-screen thrills, no price spills

18:9 aspect screen at a great price ; All-metal build looks the part ; Camera isn’t bad when you feed it enough light

No NFC means no contactless payments ; MicroUSB charging is really old hat now ; No Android Oreo at launch

This screen-filling smartphone doesn’t cost a fortune, and although it’s got a few niggling issues, it’s hard to complain too much given the price.

Honor 7X Review: The most gorgeous mid-range mobile?

We've seen plenty of premium phones this year sporting a sexy edge-to-edge screen design, but now Honor is bringing that style to the mid-range with...

Premium design ; Strong battery life ; Feature-packed cameras ; Solid screen

Micro USB ; Occasional stutter

At £269 this sleek and sexy handset offers very strong value for money. You get a feature-packed dual-lens camera, attractive full-sized screen and a solid overall user experience, for less cash than a lot of other mid-range mobiles..

Honor 7X Smartphone Review

We review the Honor 7X, a budget smartphone with a large screen and dual cameras.

The Honor 7X offers a very good 18:9 screen, and an impressive amount of storage for a great price. If this smartphone dropped to under £200 (which it may well do), then it would represent incredible value for money. Sure, it’s not waterproof, but at...

Honor 7X review

The Honor 7X lacks a few minor features that might be important to you, but if they aren't it's a very good phone that feels almost like a flagship in most ways.

+ Big, sharp screen ; + Good dual-lens camera ; + Premium metal build

- No NFC ; - No water resistance ; - No 4K video recording

The Honor 7X is a box-ticking phone that does more than it needs to given the price. The screen is the clear highlight – it’s big, fairly sharp and has minimal bezels.

Honor 7X review: Meet the new budget flagship king

An 18:9 display, nippy performance and just £270, the Honor 7X is a bona fide bargain

You can find fault with the Honor 7X, but every one of those can be met by the response: “yeah, but it’s only £270 and it has a 6in 18:9 screen.” You can get faster handsets, better cameras and more accurate screens – but not without putting more...
