Kyocera Hydro XTRM review

Rest assured, it's no fun dropping your smartphone in water. Whether you have an active lifestyle and go swimming often, or you're just milling around the kitchen, once your device hits water, it's often the beginning of the end.

The Kyocera Hydro XTRM is competitively priced, waterproof, and has 4G LTE capabilities.

Depending on your carrier, the Hydro XTRM has poor call quality. It also takes mediocre pictures, and its internal speeds can be slow at times.

If waterproof capabilities are an absolute must, consider the Kyocera Hydro XTRM. If not, skip this for some better alternatives.

Does what I want with no issues

I like mine. Have no real complaints. The price was right. I've dropped it a few times, it's gotten wet, I abuse things... no problems.

Good phone for the money - No problems after getting it wet or dropping it

No real complaints - it's not a top performer but price is right and it'stougher than most

Fine LTE phone with sturdy build quality.

Free LTE phone using points, current android, no activation fee, $25/mo for 2Gb data--it's a no-brainer.

10 megabit LTE in my area, great call quality and speakerphone. Not much of a photographer, but pics look OK. Chrome, Google NOW, Waze, all work great! This smartphone is NOT slow!

Screen not as sharp as some, but good enough for the way I use it.

Misleading Name for a Crappy Phone!

Overall, a ok phone, just don't drop it or get it wet. This is just a con from the company to try and sell phones that don't meet up to their expectations. If you want a waterproof drop proof phone buy a higher quality phone with a nice waterproof...

This phone has good screen resolution and decent call quality.

This phone does nothing it's advertised to do. It got splashed on and afterwords will randomly turn off and not turn back on until you take the battery out Then my phone slipped off the table and fell a foot to a chair, smashed my screen to bits.
