LG Optimus L5 II E610

A 4-inch Android smartphone that won't break the bank

Small, petite design ; Camera shutter can be voice activated ; Good battery life

Can feel a little sluggish at times ; No automatic brightness sensor for the screen

All in all, it's a vey high quality display for a mobile in this price bracket. However, one problem is that the phone doesn't have an automatic brightness sensor, so you have to manually adjust the screen brightness using a slider in the notification...

LG Optimus L5 II

This budget smartphone doesn't challenge the best phones around but solid all-round performance make it an affordable alternative

Budget price ; Clean and neutral colour palette for video ; Decent sound quality ; Some nice features ; Expandable storage

Black levels lack depth and subtlety ; Music could have more detail ; Cheap-feeling plastic build and finish

And that’s what it comes down to. The budget price means it’s not a premium handset that’ll challenge the Apple, HTC, Samsung or Sony flagship smartphones.

LG Optimus L5 2 review

Is the awkward second album better than before?

Handy Quick Key ; MicroSD support ; Good battery life ; Intuitive UI

No auto brightness ; Laggy processor ; No front camera ; Poor internal storage

The Optimus L5 2 is a decent device. In a less crowded market, or against less of its siblings, we could see the L5 2 carving out a bit of a name for itself. However, it's up against Samsung's Galaxies in a very crowded market.

LG Optimus L5 2 and Optimus L3 2 hands-on review

LG has announced a raft of new smartphones at MWC this year and the first to hit the UK will be the Optimus L5 2 and Optimus L3 2. Read our LG Optimus L5 2 and Optimus L3 2 hands-on review.

We're pleased with LG's Optimus L5 2 and L3 2 after a first look. After last year's disappointment, these could be realistically good smartphones for those on a budget. Look out for our full reviews and verdicts.

LG Optimus L5 II review

A likeable Android skin and a lightweight, compact body can't make up for dreadful performance

The LG Optimus L5 II is a likeable handset in some respects, then, and one of the cheaper phones we've seen in a while, but it isn't our favourite budget buy. Its poor camera and slow CPU knock it out of the running as the penny-pincher's smartphone of...

LG Optimus L5 II

LG shoots for entry-level dominance with its L5 II smartphone, which boasts a good display and some added Android functionality.

Great screen for the price range; voice activated pictures; some value added software features from LG; affordable; and light design that is comfortable to hold and easily slips into any pocket.

Single-core CPU and half a GB RAM do not allow for blistering multitasking performance; no real wow factor in the design; average camera performance; no front-facing snapper; and VGA video recording quality only.

The Optimus L5 II comfortably slides into even the tightest of skinny jeans and nestles neatly in your palm as though your hand was designed for the sole purpose of cradling this new bundle of smartphone joy.

LG Optimus L5 II review

Towards the lower end of LG's Optimus range, the L5 II steps upsome important specs from last year's L5 and aims to deliverquality smartphone features at a budget price.

Good range of smartphone features at a budget price, decentbattery life

Camera not great, no front-facing camera, very little onboardmemory

The LG Optimus L5 isn't going to set any records, or help LG todistinguish itself among the smartphone glut. It's a shame, becauseit's a decently solid smartphone at a competitive price.
