LG Revere 2 (Verizon Wireless)

The LG Revere 2 is a fine choice for Verizon Wireless users that only need a simple phone to make voice calls.

Good voice quality. Attractive design. Simple.

Poor camera. No multimedia playback. Poor viewing angles.

Apps, Multimedia, and Conclusions Outside of making calls, there is very little reason to get this phone. There's no IM, but email access is included for Gmail, Hotmail, Microsoft Exchange, Verizon.net, Windows Live, and Yahoo accounts. But you...

LG Revere 2 (Verizon Wireless) review:

Available from Verizon for $79.99, the LG Revere 2 sports a sophisticated brushed-metal look and a familiar clamshell construction. It's aimed at customers looking for something simple and low-maintenance.

Verizon's LG Revere 2 has a chic metallic design and an easy-to-use interface, and you can quickly adjust the size of display fonts using the volume buttons.

The Revere 2 has a meager 1.3-megapixel camera that takes poor photos, a browser that's frustrating to navigate, and no microSD card slot.

Although it has a competitively low price, Verizon carries better-performing feature phones than the Revere 2 at just a few dollars more.

LG Revere (Verizon Wireless)

The LG Revere offers great call quality and reception for free with a two-year contract, which is exactly what many customers still want.

Good call quality. Long battery life. Large numeric keypad is easy to dial with.

Voice dialing doesn't work over Bluetooth. Few decent features beyond voice.

Apps, Camera, and Conclusions The main menu defaults to a list format with extra-large entries, complete with a colorful backdrop and animated graphics for the highlighted selection. You get a smattering of apps with the Revere, most of which cost...

LG Revere (Verizon Wireless) review

While Verizon Wireless is famous for its smartphones like the HTC ThunderBolt , the Motorola Droid X2 , and the CDMA iPhone 4 , it still has plenty of customers who would rather have a simple handset. And it doesn't get much simpler than the LG Revere,...

The LG Revere is a compact and lightweight flip phone with features like a 1.3-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, mobile e-mail, and the ability to upload pictures to Facebook. Call quality is very good, and the Revere is very affordable.

The LG Revere doesn't have the best photo quality, and social networking features are rudimentary at best.

The LG Revere is a no-frills entry-level handset for Verizon Wireless customers who just want to make calls and not much else.

Old phone was better

Phone works, that's about it. It also has a bunch of extras I don't need.

Terrible sound quality. Also keep getting Daily Scoop messages on phone. I've been down three times and got different answer every time and still get messages. Also $30 activation fee but salesperson doesn't tell you. The fee is hidden in contract.

Worthless for Bluetooth

My wife and I got this phone in November 2011 as part of a Verizon upgrade. We have two cars with Bluetooth capability and one home system. This is a basic feature phone that advertises that it supports the Hands free Bluetooth profile. A key aspect of...

Light weight, large buttons, and good battery life

Does not actually support the Hands free Bluetooth capability advertised, will not reliably connect via Bluetooth, extremely poor customer service

LG Revere, a solution to the Accolade and Gusto!

I love this phone. I had, had many issues with the Gusto and the Accolade (these were my simple feature bckp phones) Ended up going with the Revere and have not had any of the issues that plagued me on those. The one thing I miss somewhat is the...
