LG Spectrum

First Look: The LG Spectrum has one of the best mobile phone screens in the world.

Another clue that this is a stop-gap phone in some respects is its build. Its 10.4mm shell is plastic, common in slim phones, but the glossy finish doesn’t exactly make the phone feel like a million dollars. A little texture to a phone body, or a...

LG Spectrum review

It broadens Verizon's 4G LTE selection, but can it topple the competition?

Excellent display ; Good build quality ; Solid 4G LTE performance ; Speedy processor ; 8MP camera works well

Mediocre call quality ; Very weak battery life ; No Ice Cream Sandwich ; Some UI frustrations ; Spotty video recording

Offering Verizon Wireless subscribers yet another glossy-looking 4G LTE smartphone to choose from, the LG Spectrum is a variant of the LG Optimus LTE, also seen in a different form on AT&T as the LG Nitro HD.

Review: LG Spectrum with Verizon 4G LTE

While not all users will fall in love with the simple aesthetics of the LG Spectrum, I certainly found myself mesmerized by the overall experience I had. I enjoyed the HD capabilities and large screen, messing around with apps like the Siri-clone...

LG Spectrum

Let's just get this out of the way, shall we? If the LG Spectrum looks familiar, you're not imagining things. It may have been a highlight at the company's CES press event last month, but the handset bears more than a passing resemblance to its older,...

Stunning display ; Fast LTE speeds ; Good image quality

Short battery life ; Boring design ; No ICS yet

The LG Spectrum offers LTE, fine performance and a great screen, but the short battery life makes it a tough sell.

LG Spectrum (Verizon Wireless) review

There are several themes that came out of CES 2012 , where Verizon first showed off the LG Spectrum, one of its latest 4G LTE superphones. LTE was one of these themes, of course, and the Spectrum delivers. HD, as in high-definition video, was another....

The LG Spectrum has fast LTE speeds, a dual-core processor, Android 2.3, and lots of HD video features, including a stellar 4.5-inch HD display.

Call quality and camera quality are inconsistent, and the Spectrum's interface can be cumbersome at times.

The LG Spectrum's clean design brings preppy style to some of the fastest 4G LTE data speeds around. The smartphone's attention to HD is admirable, but a few interface and performance flaws could scare away some.

LG Spectrum (Verizon Wireless)

The LG Spectrum is a powerful, high-end Android phone that offers Verizon subscribers good value despite some troubling benchmark results.

Massive, ultra-sharp 720p screen. Great battery life. Sharp camera and camcorder. Thin and light for an LTE phone.

Sluggish gaming benchmarks. Some voice quality issues.

Multimedia, Camera, and Conclusions Otherwise, the Spectrum is a fine mobile multimedia machine. There's a standard-size 3.5mm headphone jack on top, plus a microSD card slot underneath the battery cover. LG throws in a 16GB card (my 32GB SanDisk card...

We're going to have the LG Spectrum compete against the handset we proclaimed to have the best design out of all the smartphones released last year – the Motorola DROID RAZR. Sharing a good amount of commonalities, like their 4G LTE connectivity and...

Being the new kid on the block, the LG Spectrum has a lot to prove if it stands any chance in trying to stay afloat amidst a sea crowded top-notch 4G LTE smartphones from Verizon. Without hesitation, we're pitting it against the most memorable...

LG Spectrum Review

The LG Spectrum is stuffed with all of the lovable qualities of a contemporary high-end Android smartphone. However, will it have enough allure to rise over some of the benchmarking devices we've seen already? Or will it simply left out to dry for its...

LG Spectrum LTE Smartphone Review

LG and Verizon Wireless have brought the same display technology used in LG's premium HD televisions to a new smartphone dubbed the Spectrum. Featuring a 4.5-inch True HD IPS display and a resolution of 1280x720, the LG Spectrum uses Real Stripe...

4.5-inch True HD IPS display ; 1.5GHz dual-core processor and 1GB of RAM ; 4G connectivity ; Exclusive HD access to the ESPN ScoreCenter app

Occasional sluggish responsive ; Lots of preinstalled apps ; No Android 4.0—yet

With its 4.5-inch True HD IPS display that supports a high resolution of 1280x720, the LG Spectrum is sure to attract users who have a keen eye for graphics and multimedia content. Sports fans will also appreciate some of the included apps and features...
