LG U880 mobile phone

LG has been at the heart of the 3G revolution since the beginning, but then after its first enjoyable attempt, it then got the Motorola Razr bug and created a series of phones that all looked the same, but with a slight tinkering. While the U880...

Thin, easy to use, crisp colourful screen

Nothing too exciting here, only one camera, no flash on camera

While the U880 doesn't pack any exciting features that will have you reaching for your pocket every time you see someone you want to impress coming your way the LG U880 does tick all the boxes.

LG U880 review

Is it light on features as well as its feet?

Excellent build quality ; Smooth colours ; Good audio call quality

No video light or flash built in ; Interface not as intuitive as a Nokia ; Detail is weak in low light

A 3G handset that's slim enough to pass for a 2G model has got to be worth a look, and the U880 manages it without sacrificing too many photo or phone features. Just don't expect next-generation image quality, too.

LG U880 review

We recently got our paws on LG's ultra-slim 3G handset, the U880, and immediately proceeded to pester our friends by videocalling them with our ugly mugs.

LG u880 3G Phone

Last month, LG unveiled the u880 as the "world's slimmest 3G phone" and at 18.2mm thick, I don't know of any 3G phone in Europe that's thinner.

Lightweight 3G mobile with loads of muscle ready to take on allcomers.

No camera flash - megapixel boost needed to meet 2006 buyers expectations.

A giant leap forward for LG with the end result being a serious piece of 3G kit

LG U880 3G Phone

The LG U880 is a 3G clamshell opening mobile phone that comes in a choice of colours which include glossy black, matt black, silver & pink. The U880 has an ultra slim design & measures 98.8 x 49 x 18.2 mm which provides a compact & thin handset for the...

LG U880

LG has been producing 3G handsets for quite a while now, but not many of them have made a significant positive impression on us. Well, this has finall...

Well built and compact, Keypad design, Solid list of features, Price

Controls still need some work, Display could be improved, Average quality camera, Bizarre speakerphone activation

If you are looking for a 3G handset with a good list of features in an attractive and compact package, then the U880 may be for you. A good effort from LG, considering previous models.

LG U880

LG's U880 is a nice little bundle to keep in your pocket or hold to your ear, but like so many entry-level 3G phones a lot more work needs to be put into the user interface.

Nice size and solid feel ; External buttons to control the MP3 player ; Swivelling camera ; Five colours on offer ; Relatively modest price

Feature set is already outdated ; Camera takes mediocre shots ; User interface is clunky ; PC interface takes a little getting used to

We found it quite easy to transfer files to a PC via the phone's in-built Bluetooth connection, but a little more complicated to use the USB port. The PC software that comes with the U880 was also a little tough to get working optimally.

LG U880

The LG U880 is the latest phone from LG to grace Three's product range (and it will remain exclusive to Three), and it is a great phone at that. Everything good in LG's phones has been taken and shrunk into a more manageable size and shape, and LG have...
