Nokia 6760 Slide review

Although its compact size and comfortable keyboard are impressive, the Nokia 6760 Slide has too many faults for us to recommend it.

The Nokia 6760 Slide is an interesting smartphone that suffers from poor build quality. It's comfortable to hold, but ultimately it lacks any redeeming features outside the excellent qwerty keyboard.

Nokia 6760 Slide

Sporting an unconventional design that houses one of the largest full qwerty keyboards we've seen on a smartphone, the Nokia 6760 Slide is definitely different.

Nokia 6760 slide smartphone

Though its compact size and comfortable keyboard are impressive, the Nokia 6760 slide has too many faults

Excellent QWERTY keyboard, comfortable to hold in both orientations, zippy UI, 3G-capable, GPS

Questionable build quality, can't dial with the slider closed, poor screen, 2.5mm headphone jack, no Wi-Fi, can't charge via USB

Nokia 6760 slide review: Compact messaging

One of a kind would be a massive overstatement but there's something about the Nokia 6760 slide that's clearly against the usual run of things. Full QWERTY keyboards are an increasingly common...

Quad-band GSM support and 3G with HSDPA ; 2.4" 16M-color TFT display of 320 x 240 pixel resolution ; Full QWERTY keyboard ; Very compact, friendly weight and shape ; Fast and responsive interface ; Built-in accelerometer, UI auto-rotate, turn-to-mute ;...

Clattering slide hinge, loose battery cover ; No Wi-Fi ; No alphanumeric keypad: impossible to dial with the keyboard closed ; Basic fixed focus camera, no extra features (not even geotagging) ; No USB charging ; No smart dial (3rd party solutions are...

Secondly, the 6760 slide was first seen and used in the US as Nokia Surge. It usually takes quite a while for Nokia handsets to cross the pond and that makes the 6760 / Surge concept interesting enough. Whether it was custom made for AT&T and then...

Nokia 6760 Slide

Good suite of messaging tools. Access to Ovi Store. Decent 3.2-megapixel camera. Well-spaced QWERTY keyboard.

Cramped navigation panel. Lacklustre screen. 2.5mm headphone socket. Muffled earpiece speaker.

Awkward design choices spoil an otherwise excellent phone for people who rate messaging features over calling or web browsing.

Nokia 6760

nokia 6760 review: The Nokia 6760 mixes Twitter, Facebook and several instant messaging clients with a full-QWERTY keyboard and should be a recipe for success.

Nokia 6760 Slide Review - Smart little slider

We have here a Nokia phone that belongs to neither the Eseries nor the Nseries, and is not even an XpressMusic. So is the Nokia 6760 Slide one of those generic Nokia messengers? Well yes to the ‘generic' designation. But to know whether it just one of...

Compact design, 3G, GPS with A-GPS ; support and maps

No Wi-Fi, basic camera, loose back cover

Although the Nokia 6760 Slide is not really a strong mobile phone model, it nonetheless enjoys a unique place in Nokia’s portfolio because of its compact design and excellent messaging capabilites. The phone also has a Symbian OS, although we think...
