The Oppo Find X shakes up the smartphone scene with a groundbreaking design, pop-up camera and notch-free, bezel-free display, but is it worth €1000?

Stunning design ; Impressive engineering ; Great performance ; Good battery life and fast charging

Mechanism reliability concerns ; No headphone jack ; ColorOS 5.1 is restrictive ; No NFC

One of the nicest-looking smartphones to date, but the ramifications of have a truly notch-free design mean this flagship makes too many sacrifices to compete against the top players.

The Oppo Find X is a beautiful handset with innovative features, powerful performance and a futuristic design, but its star gimmick ultimately detracts from an otherwise top-notch (yet notch-free) flagship experience.

The Oppo Find X tops the Galaxy S9 in beauty and innovation

 

This is -- bar none -- the best-looking phone of 2018. And its slide-up camera takes great photos, too.

The Oppo Find X has a beautiful design, a great camera and long battery life with fast charging. It also has top-of-the-line features such as 3D face scanning for unlocking.

There's no wireless charging and it's not waterproof. It can get a little hot when gaming, and isn't yet sold outside Asia.

The Oppo Find X's supercool pop-up camera and beautiful, all-screen design make it the best-looking phone of 2018. It's also one of the best phones this year, period.

Software a bit on the shonky side ; Camera isn’t up there with the best flagships ; It’ll leave a serious dent in your wallet

A smart way of ditching the notch makes Oppo’s flagship feel like something from 2040. You pay a premium for the fancy features, but it’ll make you grin every time that camera pops out to say hello
