The European flavour of the R17 Pro is here with the same triple camera, 50W super-fast charging and an eye-catching design.

Tasteful design ; Good battery life

Surprisingly weak GPU for the price ; Tri-camera setup doesn’t open up photo composition ; No headphone jack ; No wireless charging

It’s a good phone, but the more powerful, lower-cost OnePlus 6T is better.

In a hurry? This multi-colour mid-ranger has the charging speed you need

Premium design and eye-catching colours ; Great battery life, and a fast charger too ; Bright and colourful screen

Performance not the best for the cash ; Triple camera not as versatile as others ; Old version of Android and middling custom UI

A few premium features and decent enough performance, but a bit too pricey for a mid-ranger – especially when rivals like the OnePlus 6T only cost a little more

The Oppo RX17 Pro is a handset with an awful lot going for it. It’s good looking, has a very nice screen, incredible stamina and plenty of mod-cons like an in-screen fingerprint reader.

Good design, Great screen, 3 Cameras, Fast charging

Weak CPU, No wireless charging, No water or dust rating

It's a close battle between this and the OnePlus 6T, and while Oppo's phone is weaker in some respects, it has a more eye-catching design and a cool ToF camera. Still, for the asking price, there are arguably better options available.

Rigid build with a glass back, aluminum side frames and stunning gradient design.

No 3.5mm jack and no dongle included.

If only Oppo had swapped the 3D camera and the 20MP depth sensor for something genuinely useful, and if only the price was a bit more competitive, we could have given it our full recommendation.
