Palm phone review

Honey, Palm shrunk the smartphone

Stands out from the crowd ; Feels well built ; Incredibly light

Underpowered ; Dreadful battery life ; Expensive ; Tiny screen makes Android hard to use

Unless you’re looking for a phone you won’t want to use, give the dinky Palm a wide berth

Palm phone review: The tiny phone that’s quite expensive

A credit card-sized smartphone that's riding on the coattails of a long-lost brand, the Palm phone is intriguing but ultimately flawed

Pocket-friendly size ; Useful UI ; Full support for Android apps

Rather pricey ; Woeful battery life

Still, its woeful battery life is unforgivable and the asking price is very hard to justify. It might be in a class of its own – and if you did want a phone of this size, there simply aren’t any alternatives – but as it stands, the Palm phone seems...

Palm Phone

The new Palm is a tiny phone you're supposed to carry around as a secondary device when you don't want your big phone with you. It's a great idea, but it doesn't get performance basics right.

Beautiful, and beautifully tiny.

Poor Wi-Fi, LTE, and call quality. Mediocre camera. Short battery life. Can't handle popular messaging software.

Bottom Line: The new Palm is a tiny phone you're supposed to carry around as a secondary device when you don't want your big phone with you. It's a great idea, but it doesn't get performance basics right.

Palm Phone (2018) Review: A sign of future greatness

The resurrected Palm brand had an idea for a very tiny smartphone-like device that was more like a smartwatch than it was a mobile phone. They created a device just called Palm, and they've made this device exclusive to Verizon. Verizon will sell this...

Hardware design is on point: This phone is beautiful ; Display is decent, albeit tiny ; User Interface is unique and new ; It runs teeny tiny Hearthstone! ; Speakers are decent

Verizon requires adding this on as accessory to another phone ; A little too tiny for all but basics ; Cameras are just OK ; Battery life is not OK ; Price is surprisingly high for value of device

Palm Phone Review

Palm's back into the fold, being brought back to life after Chinese maker TCL. This new Palm is young, hip, and ready to tackle the market from a totally different perspective. Rather than tangling with the heavy hitters in the space, the Palm Phone is...

It’s unbelievably tiny in size ; Covers the same basic features that other phones offer ; Water-resistant construction ; Affordably priced at $350 ; Super bright display

Super short battery life ; Camera’s poor performance under low light ; Microphone causes our voice to sound scratchy in tone ; No NFC ; Cramped size can make texting difficult

Palm Review: Why Does This Exist, Exactly?

We all need to spend less time staring at our phones, so at least there's a good idea behind the Palm. But part of the problem is that the phone lacks the courage of its convictions. If we're supposed to use the Palm only intermittently, why preload it...

Compact, durable design ; Life Mode feature minimizes distractions ; Fast charging

Tiny screen can be difficult to read ; Expensive ; Can't work as a stand-alone phone ; Tepid performance ; Ships with too many apps ; Only available through Verizon

Palm is back with a tiny phone that's designed to get you to spend less time with your mobile devices. But the finished product doesn't quite deliver.

Palm Phone review: Just buy a smartwatch

Palm wants you to use the handset as a companion device to your smartphone so you can disconnect from your everyday life. But as the Palm Phone is a fully-functional handset with access to the Play Store, it just ends up becoming a miniature version of...

Premium build ; Facial recognition ; Unique Android launcher

Too small, could be easy to lose ; Poor battery life ; The camera only captures adequate photos ; Lacking a swipe-capable keyboard
