Samsung Acclaim SCH-R880 (US Cellular)

The Samsung Acclaim delivers a usable QWERTY keyboard and a reasonably sized touch screen to US Cellular customers, but it's not particularly memorable.

Lightweight. Clear voice quality. Inexpensive US Cellular plans with free TeleNav GPS navigation. Good battery life.

Sluggish. Stiff, flat keyboard. Disappointing camera. Software feels a little unfinished.

Multimedia, Camera, and Conclusions The Acclaim has 218MB of internal memory, and the side-mounted microSD card slot accepts 32GB cards. My 16GB SanDisk card worked fine, and Samsung gives you a 4GB card to get you started. The standard-size 3.5mm...

For a price of $100, the Samsung Acclaim Android based smartphone is no doubt a pretty good offer considering its smart features and high reliability. Even though the keyboard and call quality of the phone is a bit disappointing, it is still a pretty...

Camera quality is mediocre, and device was laggy at times

It won't move mountains when competing with high-end Android alternatives, but the mid-range Acclaim is an excellent first Android device on US Cellular. With the physical QWERTY keyboard, it appeals to both the pro-keyboard and pro-touchscreen...

Samsung Acclaim

And here we are. Yet another Samsung Android phone. This time it's in the form of the Samsung Acclaim.

While this is not amongst the greatest of the Samsung line, this is the very first Android phone on U.S. Cellular. It sports a 3.2 inch touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel camera with LED flash, a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, and Android 2.1.
