Samsung Galaxy J7

The Samsung Galaxy J7 is an affordable midrange phablet on Boost Mobile that offers good bang for the buck compared with rivals.

Affordable. Solid performance. Latest Android software. Rich, bright display. Dual-band Wi-Fi and NFC. Replaceable battery and expandable storage.

Mixed camera performance. Subpar call quality. Some bloatware.

Conclusions For $230, the Samsung Galaxy J7 is a very capable phablet held back only by mixed camera performance and lackluster call quality. Unless you're keen on a stylus, the J7 is a better buy than the $180 Stylo 2, thanks to its more powerful...

Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) Smartphone Review

New edition. Samsung's mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy J7, has undergone a facelift. The result is the Galaxy J7 (2016), which comes with a more stylish case, more performance and a larger battery compared to its predecessor. Our review shows whether...

stable case ; Android 6.0.1 ; high contrast AMOLED display ; high system tempo ; smooth gaming ; almost no heat development ; removable battery ; very long battery life

slow WLAN speed ; no brightness sensor ; no fingerprint reader ; mediocre voice quality ; only average rear camera ; screen flickering

With the Galaxy J7 (2016), Samsung has overhauled its mid-range 5.5-inch smartphone in a subtle, but effective way. One highlight of the 2016 edition is the metal case, which provides the smartphone with higher-quality haptics and more sturdiness when...

Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) Review

The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016 edition, aka J7 6) represents the new generation of affordable Samsung phones: with a stylish look, a sturdy metal frame, and even with a few premium features like the Quick Launch camera shortcut.

Impressive battery life ; Fairly smooth performance ; Supports expandable storage via microSD cards ; Quick to start camera

No fingerprint scanner ; Plastic back feels cheap ; Somewhat pricey for what it offers ; No 4K video option

After all is said, it’s time to draw the line and see how good the Galaxy J7 6 really is. It’s an improvement in terms of design in the affordable segment, with its metal frame, but the plastic back cover feels cheap and not on par even with cheap...

Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) Review: Loses Out To Chinese Competitors

The 2016 refresh of Samsung's popular smartphone is not what we were hoping for.

Sturdy metal frame; Vibrant AMOLED screen; Long battery life.

Boring design; Flimsy back-panel; Lacks ambient light sensor; Underwhelming gaming performance.

Review: Samsung Galaxy J7 for Boost Mobile

Samsung's mid-range Galaxy J7 finds solid footing among Boost Mobile's smartphone roster. This Android handset brings a lot to the table with a 5.5-inch screen, 13-megapixel camera, and Android 6 Marshmallow. Here is Phonescoop's full review.

Every phone has a weakness, but the Galaxy J7's greatest fault came as a surprise to me.

Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 Review – legacy updated

Seven is Samsung's lucky number this year it seems. Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 has a refined build and new interface over Android Marshmallow.

• Refined looks ; • Good battery backup ; • LED flash on front camera works great

• No automatic brightness adjustment

The verdict has to be about the price now. The Galaxy J7 appears costly on a spec to spec comparison with many up and coming Chinese smartphones. But from the component level value, if you rather need a phone you would keep for a couple of years even...

Samsung Galaxy J7 2016

Unimpressive

Great battery life

Sub-par camera ; Looks cheap ; Overpriced

The Samsung Galaxy J7 has great battery life, but that's not enough to recommend the device. It's underpowered, has a sub-par camera and doesn't look good. It's not an ideal buy. The Gionee Marathon M5 has better battery life, while the Xiaomi Redmi...
