Samsung Galaxy S Advance review

A mid-range Galaxy smartphone to impress Android fans

Zippy dual-core CPU ; Intuitive UI ; Robust image editing ; All-round strong performer ; Excellent price

No Android 4.0 ICS ; Poor light management on camera ; Echo to calls ; Weak connections ; Unreliable video abilities

Not content with adding the Galaxy S2 and Galaxy S3 handsets to its flagship smartphone lineup, Samsung is looking to capitalise on its leading Android line with the Samsung Galaxy S Advance, a mobile phone that arcs back to the original model,...

Samsung Galaxy S Advance Review: In Depth

With Samsung releasing so many Galaxy branded phones of late, how does the Galaxy S Advance, specced between the original and the S2 stack up?

Review – Samsung Galaxy S Advance

Combining high-end specs with a budget orientated smartphone is pretty hard, but Samsung has managed to pull it off with the Galaxy S Advance, an Android smartphone solely based on the original Galaxy S which was announced back in 2010.

The S Advance is nothing special, but it is a decent Android smartphone packed with a load of helpful features such as a bright screen and a decent camera. If you fancy the Galaxy S2 or S3, but you’re not keen on the size, then this could be the phone...

Samsung Galaxy S Advance

The Samsung Galaxy S Advance is an Android smartphone fitted with Samsung's 4-inch Super AMOLED screen. The Android phone has a dual-core 1GHz processor, 5-megapixel rear camera, and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera for video calls, and up to 16GB...

Despite its ageing operating system, the Samsung Galaxy S Advance remains a handy handset for those looking for a cheap smartphone with many of the features found in the top smartphones. For those on a budget, the Galaxy S Advance is still worth a...

Samsung Galaxy S Advance Review

If you're after an all-rounder that runs on Android, the Samsung Galaxy S Advance is it. Plus it includes Samsung's excellent social networking offerings and solid performance.

As we said at the start, there are plenty of mid-market phones around, so there are plenty to compare the Samsung Galaxy S Advance with. The Galaxy S II also has a dual-core processor, along with a better snapper and Android Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS)....

Samsung Galaxy S Advance mid-range Android

Review Things sometimes change fast. Take the HMS Lord Nelson, a fine battleship when laid down in 1905 but almost instantly rendered obsolete by HMS Dreadnought, laid down just a few months later.

Just like a showdown between the Nelson and the Dreadnought, the Samsung Galaxy S Advance blows the HTC One V out of the water with a single salvo. When it comes to hardware, it’s better in every way. The screen is larger and more lustrous, there’s...

Samsung Galaxy S Advance

Samsung may be breaking all records and making waves with their upcoming Galaxy S3, but not everyone wants to fork out £500+ for a powerhouse superphone.

With the Galaxy S3 just around the corner, the S Advance won't be getting too much attention. Despite that, it's a solid phone that could attract people looking for a mid-range phone.

Samsung Galaxy S Advance GT-I9070 – A Quick Hands-on

A Samsung smartphone recently arrived in our test labs with the name tag Galaxy S Advance. Labeled with the model number GT-I9070, is this the rumored Galaxy S II relative described by several reports that have been circulating since last year?

Samsung Galaxy S Advance review

Living in the shadow of the Samsung Galaxy S2 must be difficult, and this is even more the case when you are a mid-range device, like the Samsung Galaxy S Advance on review today.

Relatively fast, Great display, Feels like a more portable Galaxy S2

Android 2.3 is starting to show its age, Feels a lot fatter than the Galaxy S2

The Samsung Galaxy S Advance is a very capable device but when you can get devices with Android Ice Cream Sandwich for less money it becomes hard to wholeheartedly recommend
