Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket review

Who knew AT&T's version of the Samsung Galaxy S II had a younger, larger brother on the way? Just a hair over a month after the carrier launched its flag...

Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket review

At long last, AT&T is finally rolling out its much-awaited LTE network that promises much faster speeds than its existing "4G" HSPA+ network. (What will AT&T dub its LTE network to differentiate it from HSPA+? 4G Plus?) The carrier promised that LTE...

The Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket has a beautiful 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display along with a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, an NFC chip, and support for AT&T's LTE network. It ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and has an 8-megapixel camera with...

AT&T's LTE network is only available in a few cities at the time of the Skyrocket's launch, it has a somewhat cheap, plastic feel, and you can't remove bloatware.

If you live in an area that gets AT&T's LTE network, we highly recommend the powerful and beautiful Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket.

The Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket Just Rules [REVIEW]

The Galaxy S II has been out for almost two months, but it steadily gathered attention once it was announced in February. Samsung touted it as thinner, faster, and just generally cooler than any other phone out there. After spending three days with the...

Samsung SII Skyrocket

The Samsung SII Skyrocket boasts 4G capability, a crisp display good for reading (a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen), and top-notch picture and video quality (thanks to its 8-megapixel main camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera). This thin phone...

Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket Video Review Part 1 | PhoneDog

Aaron takes an in-depth look at the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket, one of AT&T's two initial 4G LTE devices. It has a nice feature set, but it comes just before the HTC Rezound, Samsung Galaxy Nexus, and a bunch of other hot holiday Android phones....

I wouldn't pay for this phone!

I can't go out to lunch and check emails and use internet or music apps if I'm working out or waiting in line. Camera isn't 3D which kind of bummed me out. The back cover has weird ridges on it. I would never buy this phone, it was a replacement for my...

Camera is ok but for what I had before and for this to be an "upgrade," is a whole lot of nonsense. This phone was sent to me as a replacement to my LG Thrill which they deemed as an upgrade. AT&T also revoked my insurance.

My Thrill got internet everywhere and this thing can't get it once I go far enough away from my house! I can't use any of the apps that use internet which is almost all of them. I also don't like the back part of the cover..it has weird ridges in it.

Released in Dec 2011, it had all the specs of IPhone 5.

Released in December 2011, it had all the specs of IPhone 5 of 2012. And now with ICS it's even a better phone. Excellent & gorgeous HD display (326 ppi). 1080p video recording. Amazing LTE speeds & HSPA+ backhaul with AT&T. Nice slim design.

Battery life is an issue due to its HD screen and LTE signal. Wished it had more onboard storage capacity (only 4GB); although you can bump it up with the addition of 32GB microSD card. Audio quality during phone calls can be low at times.

They made it even worse

Service is my main complaint. I sent this to service when the mic stopped working. It took more than a week after it had arrived at the service depot (with Fedex confirmation) for them to acknowledge receipt (when I called, at the suggestion of the...

Nice screen, 4G LTE

Support is abysmal. Start-up is slow.

The despicable Battery Life ruins the phone!

No doubt, this phone has some rocking features - gorgeous screen, fast processor, lightweight formfactor - but all of these are entirely negated by its terrible battery life. Essentially, to get you through even your workday, you'll need to turn off...

"Great phone love the size and The speed!"

For those who complain about the bloatware you can always root your phone to get rid of that problem and get much better battery life! Just a suggestion....
