Galaxy S5 Review Update: Is it still worth considering now it has Android 5.0 Lollipop?

Fantastic screen ; Still one of the best cameras around ; Now updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop ; Update has improved fingerprint sensor ; Better battery life than S6 ; Has microSD and water resistance

Not the prettiest of 2014 phones ; Processor still decent, but behind the times

Samsung Galaxy S5 camera shootout versus HTC One M8, iPhone 5S

Samsung's marquee Galaxy S5 is blazing fast and chock full of new features. But does its 16-megapixel camera have the chops to compete against the HTC One M8 and Apple iPhone 5S?

Review: Samsung Galaxy S5 Active

All of my co-workers have some sort of bulky case like the OtterBox for protection. I see no need for that with the S5 Active. In this Business, If you don't protect your phone, its only a matter of days till your in the market for a new one.

and used a Samsung Galaxy S5 Active supplied by TELUS for testing purposes.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Active: A Flagship Phone With Klingon Aesthetics [REVIEW]

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is a better-protected version of the Galaxy S5, missing only the original's fingerprint scanner, which isn't much of a loss.

Better drop-protected and easier-to-grip version of the Galaxy S5 ; Built-in heart-rate monitor ; Lighter and smaller than Galaxy S5 in a case

Appears metal but is all plastic ; Not shockproof, as implied ; Rear battery cover doesn't form a seamless seal with frame.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active is a better-protected and more grippable version of the Galaxy S5, missing only the original's fingerprint scanner, which isn't much of a loss.

Samsung Galaxy S5 – Review

Overall I grew to like the Galaxy S5, yes the overall quality isn't as good as some of the other flagships flying around at the moment. Yes the launcher and the home button do create quite a bit of lag opening up folders and returning to the home and...

Samsung Galaxy S5 Review: Now Available For Under $200

If you're after a mega bargain, but don't want to use a feature phone or a modern, mid-range handset, the Galaxy S5, while old, is now available for under $200.

Excellent screen, Capable camera, Great battery life becomes excellent with Ultra Power Saving mode, Plenty of power and storage,Water resistant, S Health suite

Ugly design, Mediocre speaker, Poor fingerprint scanner implementation

A wolf in sheep's clothing if ever there was one - the Galaxy S5 might not look the part but it's got clout where it counts

Samsung Galaxy S5 Active (AT&T)

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active on AT&T is a no-compromise, ruggedized Android smartphone that will appeal to klutzes and adrenaline junkies alike.

Spectacular screen. Excellent camera. Drop- and waterproof. Customizable Active key.

Thick, reinforced corners. Bloatware.

Conclusions The Galaxy S5 Active makes no real compromises to earn its more adventurous designation. I don't care for fingerprint scanners, and I think the Active key will be genuinely more useful for the majority of people. Otherwise, it offers the...

Samsung Galaxy S5 Active review: Style and substance, but sportiness is so-so

If you want to keep your smartphone safe from scratches, spills, thumps, and drops, chances are high you'll be buying a thick, heavy case. There just aren't that many truly rugged phones around these days , and the few that do take a beating don't have...

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Active has a sturdy build, excellent physical controls, and a convenience key that double as a camera shutter. Inside, it has the same top-tier specs as the Galaxy S5.

It lacks a fingerprint scanner, it's slippery, and apart from its tougher aesthetic, the S5 Active isn't much tougher or athletically-minded than other dust- and water-resistant smartphones.

Though it's only marginally more durable than the original Galaxy S5, the Galaxy S5 Active's physical buttons and high-end features keep it in Samsung's hit parade.
