Samsung Intercept review

We review the Samsung Intercept, Sprint's new affordable Android smartphone

Affordable ; Great battery life ; Comes in Satin Pink

Screen is dull and washed out ; Phone bogs down under heavy usage

The Samsung Intercept is a great buy for under $100 -- just don't expect anything overly exciting. It does its job and it does it well, but you'll need to fork over some extra cash for a more capable Android phone if you want the bells and whistles...

Samsung Intercept SGH-M910 (Sprint)

The Samsung Intercept offers Sprint subscribers a solid, if unremarkable, Android device with a recent version of the OS and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.

Runs Android 2.1. Large QWERTY keyboard. Plenty of multimedia features. Good value.

Small, cramped touchscreen. Lacks EV-DO Rev A support. No voice dialing over Bluetooth. Somewhat sluggish.

Multimedia, Camera, and Conclusions A standard-size 3.5mm headphone jack graces the left side of the device. Music tracks sounded bright and punchy over Motorola S9-HD ($129.99, ) Bluetooth headphones. But I heard some hiss in the background, even when...

Samsung Intercept review

Almost a year after the release of the Samsung Moment , Samsung is finally adding more Android phones to the Sprint lineup. Though most data-hungry professionals might want to wait for the Samsung Epic 4G (which is also one of Samsung's Galaxy S series...

The Samsung Intercept has Android 2.1, a 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, a colorful display, and a great QWERTY keyboard. Call quality is good.

The Samsung Intercept's task manager can be a bit sluggish at times, and the photo quality could be improved.

The Samsung Intercept is a suitable Android alternative for Sprint customers on a budget.

Samsung Intercept Review

Though it may be overshadowed by another popular device on Sprint shelves, the Samsung Intercept is an important point in the carrier's relationship with Android. The first three devices (HTC Hero, Samsung Moment and HTC EVO 4G) were all premium...

Samsung Intercept Review

Learn more about the Samsung Intercept from Sprint. This phone similar to the Moment but has enough improvements to mark its own territory in the wireless landscape. Our review found some potential drawbacks as well. Learn more in the full article.

Normally the Intercept would be an fine mid-tier device, missing the performance and the polish of the best phones, but still a step up from the free devices. Unfortunately with a $99.99 price point, there are many similar and better devices for the...

Review: Samsung Intercept (Sprint) – Android Hits The Mainstream

A few weeks ago, Samsung was kind enough to send us an Intercept for review. While it may not be of Galaxy S caliber, it's not intended to be. Rather, it's more so aimed at the feature phone crowd – those who want something more powerful than a feature...

Samsung Intercept

Android 2.1 and a hardware keyboard., Android OS 2.1 with all the Google goodies. Solid build and decent looks

Bland display, oddball resolution., Display is grainy and not super touch responsive. Odd resolution. Sometimes bogs down

The Samsung Intercept offers a newer version of the Android OS and loses the excessive version of TouchWiz found on the Samsung Moment. Beyond that, the Intercept isn't an upgrade at all. In fact, the Moment has a better display and an equal camera....
