Samsung Intrepid

The Samsung Intrepid ($150 with a two-year contract from Sprint; price as of 10/19/09), successor to the Samsung Ace, features a touchscreen and a sleek design, measuring just 4.9 by 2.4 by 0.5 inches. The cover is soft black plastic, and at 3.2 ounces...

Easy to sync and set up e-mail ; Great call quality

Commands split between keyboard and touchscreen

The Samsung Intrepid has some great e-mail and messaging features, but navigating its interface can be difficult.

Samsung Intrepid Cell Phone Review

The Samsung Intrepid made its debut at CTIA Fall 2009 as Sprint's first Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone. Admittedly, we weren't particularly impressed by the handset's drab and slightly plasticky design ...

Samsung Intrepid (Sprint) review: Samsung Intrepid (Sprint)

Samsung Intrepid (Sprint)

The Samsung Intrepid ships with Windows Mobile 6.5 and includes Microsoft's Tellme voice-activated service. The world phone features a touch screen, an easy-to-use QWERTY keyboard, and upgraded camera. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 3G are all onboard.

Keyboard feels a bit cheap. The smartphone has a lower resolution screen than competitors.

While not the flashiest smartphone on the block, the Samsung Intrepid offers Sprint customers an affordable and solid messaging world phone.

Seize the Day With the Samsung Intrepid from Sprint

Windows Mobile 6.5 has hit the marketplace in a big way and phones featuring it are widely available from all of the major US providers. Among its offerings, Sprint features the Samsung Intrepid, a Windows Mobile phone in the classic BlackBerry-style...

Great keyboard ; Design provides a good balance of features for business and pleasure ; Auto focus feature on camera

Windows Mobile 6.5 provides limited touch friendly control ; Stylus is very hard to remove ; Slow auto focus

Sprint Samsung Intrepid Review - Pocket PC Central Review of Samsung Intrepid

I was eager to review Sprint's new Samsung Intrepid Windows Phone for two reasons. First, I was looking forward to taking Microsoft's just-released Windows Mobile 6.5 OS for an extended spin. Second, I have long believed Windows Mobile, as currently...

Excellent Camera & Camera UI; Good Battery Life; Bright, Crisp Touchscreen; 802.11g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth & GPS; Updated Web Browser

Somewhat Sluggish CPU; Disappointing Call Quality; Sub-Standard OS Media Support; Screen Could Be Larger

My final analysis is that the Samsung Intrepid is a viable option. In the pro column, it has a great camera, good battery life and a bright, crisp display. Cons include lackluster call quality, a smallish screen and still poor built-in media support....

Samsung Intrepid Review

It is currently available from Sprint for $150 (after $200 rebate) with a new two-year service contract, or for $450 without a contract

Large touchscreen display ; Attractive price ; Good battery life ; Good camera ; TellMe works brilliantly

Uninspired design that can be hard to grip/hold ; Performance isn't spectacular ; Below average keyboard

Don't expect anything fancy though -- the Intrepid doesn't offer any sort of zoom capability and the settings and effects are rather bare bones

Video Tour: Samsung Intrepid

Phone Scoop gives the new Samsung Intrepid Windows Mobile 6.5 phone for Sprint a whirl. QWERTY plus a touch screen is cool, but WinMo feels a bit slow on this phone.
