Samsung once again opts for touchpad navigation, this time on its S7330 sliding handset.

Samsung S7330 Review

The Samsung S7330 has been modelled on the spectacularly successful Samsung Soul and boasts a similarly stylish exterior. The Samsung S7330 is available from 3...

The S7330 is a decent phone but we can’t see why you would buy this over the Samsung Soul, particularly since you can get the Soul on some very reasonable contracts..

Samsung S7330 mobile phone

Samsung's latest mid-range mobile phone boasts a

Value for money, solid build quality, decent features list, customisable shortcut menus

Long when slid open, keypad is too flat, selection keys poorly placed, no 3.5mm headphone jack

The Samsung S7330's magical touch window isn't a deal-breaker, nor is it innovative. However, this mobile phone still provides decent value for its asking price.

Samsung S7330 review: Soul junior

Someone at Samsung must be really fond of the Soul design and, honestly, we can see why. How we feel about it is not the point though. The Soul looks are spilling down the company portfolio, like it or not. The latest incarnation - Samsung S7330 -...

3G with HSDPA support ; Quad-band GSM support, usable worldwide ; Touchpad navigation ; 2.2" 262K-color QVGA display ; 3 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash ; 35MB of user memory, microSD expansion ; Bluetooth v2.0 with A2DP ; USB v2.0 ; FM radio...

LED flash is inadequate ; Video recording tops out at QCIF resolution ; Confusing mix of regular and touch-sensitive keys ; More expensive than similar-featured competing models

The S7330 may as well be noteworthy for marking a shift in the Samsung naming patterns. It is the first model by the South Korean manufacturer with a four-digit model designation (the rugged B2700, M3510 Beat and 8510 INNOV8 follow suit)

Samsung S7330

The S7330 is little more than a basic mobile phone with a flashy-looking touch panel for navigation. It works well but it's a little pricey for the phone you actually get.

Sharp, colourful display. Good battery life. HSDPA (3.6Mbps). Solid basic phone performance.

No GPS. No 3.5mm headphone socket. Basic media functions only.

The S7330 is probably $100 too expensive for a basic phone, though we can't fault its limited functionality. The context-sensitive touch panel doesn't detract from the S7330 at all, but it doesn't add anything special either.

All-angle comparison of the 8MP phones

Time flies, doesn't it? Today, the mobile technology develops so fast that if you'll most likely miss something interesting if you close your eyes for 10-15 minutes. Last winter we tested the 5-megapixel cameraphones and we were wondering when the...

Samsung S7330 Preview

We have previously discussed the popular strategy to use the design of a high-end phone for the production of a cheaper model of the same brand. Samsung's L770 copying the U700 is a typical example of that. But now again, the Koreans have decided to...
