Sony Live with Walkman Review: In Depth

You would be forgiven for thinking that the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman is a featurephone, and at first glance, it does seem that way. Delve a little deeper though, and you'll find a small yet capable…

1Ghz processor keeps everything smooth ; UI modifications are pleasant and unobtrusive ; Affordable

Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman Review

A 1Ghz processor and Walkman branding makes for an appealing device.

1Ghz processor keeps everything smooth ; UI modifications are pleasant and unobtrusive ; Affordable

Low screen resolution

The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman is a surprisingly good device. If you can look past the Walkman branding of old and accept this for the long lost budget Xperia device that it is, you'll find a good all round package.

But nobody will buy this phone for the specs, it is a mass market music phone. And apart from in the shortage of storage capacity out of the box it does its job admirably.

Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman

The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman, as its name suggests, is a smartphone aimed at music-lovers, and the first of Sony's Walkman-branded smartphones to arrive equipped with Google's Android software. However, with its mid-range features and pint-sized...

Taking its price into consideration, the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman is a decent Android smartphone. It runs the latest version of Gingerbread software, and packs a 1GHz processor, a decent music player and a fairly-good camera. However, the...

Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman review

It's got a weird name, but with less demand for standalone mediaplayers these days, it makes sense that the Walkman brandshould now seem most at home on a phone -- in this case an Androidphone with a 5-megapixel camera and fast 1GHz processor.

Quality music player, Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread, 5MP camera

Screen could be sharper, battery life not great

Sony Ericsson's Live With Walkman offers a good quality mediaplayer with some genuinely useful extra features and a good cameratoo. Pity about the less than stellar battery life.

Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman

Review Sony Ericsson is still producing standalone Walkman devices, but the natural home for the oldest portable music player brand these days is on a phone. The Live With Walkman delivers the latest version of the music player in an Android phone with...

The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman has a well equipped media player with the emphasis on music and a good quality camera too, but it’s a pity that there's not a beefier battery on-board. ®

Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman

Sony Ericsson delivers a more social music experience via its Live with Walkman smartphone that boasts a dedicated Walkman button and speaker performance enhancements.

Sonys xLOUD Experience speaker enhancements, compact form factor, up-to-date version of Android, Walkman functionality, Facebook Inside Xperia software and 3D sweep panoramic photo capturing.

Display partial to displaying reflections and glare in direct sunlight and low amount of internal storage.

Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman Review by 3G.co.uk

This handset is neat in size, looks good and has a decent touch display and excellent music offerings

Neat size; good looks

Display rather small; stiff home key

The Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman is good looking, is a neat size and has a smooth interface. It works quickly and has lots of nice touches, most notable of which is the Walkman screen. It may lack a few of the high-end offerings you’ll find on its...

Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman review: Droid's got talent

Not the first time Sony Ericsson are trying to mix man and robot. But this time they're not simply putting the W in Android. The Live with Walkman is part of the company's ongoing effort to bring their smartphone lineup up to date. The next one due for...
