Sony Xperia E4

Continuing its assault on the entry-level to mid-range market, Sony's Xperia E4 is a solid offering. It's biggest competition however, is its yet-to-debut LTE-sporting brother.

Solid processing performance; Good battery life; Very well priced for market

A bit too plastic; Other variants with better features on the way

All in all, the Xperia E4 is a solid entry level to mid-range device. While I had my initial reservations about it, particular as its design was not particularly eye-catching of definitive, it won me over with its great processing performance. As an...

Sony's budget Xperia E4 promises two-day battery life and 5-inch screen

With a low resolution screen and 3G, not 4G LTE, this is no flagship phone. But that battery life is eye-catching, so let's hope the price is too.

Sony's budget Xperia E4 promises two-day battery life and 5-inch screen

Sony has a new low-end phone to try and tempt those of you whose bank accounts don't stretch to the expense of its flagship Xperia Z3. Called the Xperia E4, this budget device has a large 5-inch display and a battery that will apparently keep it...

Here's hoping Sony pairs its low-end specs with a similarly low-end price tag.

One Minute Review: Sony Xperia E4

Sony's latest smartphone line-up includes this $129 budget number. We trialled one for a month and while there are no performance surprises (good or bad), for the price it's a real deal. A MediaTek 1.3GHz processor is sufficient for smooth Android...

"Up against the $239 Moto E, its closest competitor with very similar specs it’s the budget champ for sure."

Review: Sony Xperia E4 (E2104)

We've seen good phones out of Sony in the past couple of years, but generally in the flagship field, so what sort of handset does Sony produce when it makes it to a budget?

Surprisingly nice big screen; Sony’s overlay to Android is very PlayStation-like and easy to get used to; Excellent two day battery life; Rear camera includes a flash, something you don't normally see on budget phones;

Edge of the phone feels weird against the hand; Slow downs are easily noticed from the mediocre processor; No 4G;

Sony Xperia E4 review

The Sony Xperia E4 is an entry-level phone that lacks 4G connectivity, but does offer a large screen, a capable camera, a big battery, and a decent amount of memory. It's available for under £100 on PAYG, or on the cheapest monthly contracts.

The Sony E4 is available for less than £100 or on the cheapest monthly contracts, and that seems like excellent value for a phone with this capability. It may lack 4G connectivity, but for many users that's not a deal breaker, and the phone is cheaper...

Sony Xperia E4 Express Review: Decent, but not at this price

There are many under-Rs 10,000-smartphones that come with a killer spec sheet than this one.
