Vodafone 555 Blue review

Keeping you connected without phone contract commitments

Deep Facebook integration ; Excellent ease of navigation ; Cheap ; QWERTY keyboard ; Single LED camera flash

Slow connectivity speeds and no Wi-Fi ; 200Mhz processor ; Only a 2MP camera ; Navigating Facebook picture albums or watching videos are a lot of bother ; 2.4-inch screen

With social network-'addicted' teens and a global Facebook population greater than that of the United States, bringing out an affordable PAYG Facebook-integrated feature phone should be a sure bet, in theory. But then we also know that there are lies,...

Vodafone 555 Blue

The Vodafone 555 Blue is the latest Facebook phone to hit the market. But when we say market, we don't just mean the markets here in the UK. Oh no, Vodafone has big plans with regards to opening up Facebook to millions of mobile users worldwide - at...

Cheap, decent build quality, Facebook-tastic

Slow, no 3G or Wi-Fi, lack of apps

When Pocket-lint went to the launch of the 555 it was clear that much of Vodafone's market research was done in emerging markets for the mobile industry, such as India and South Africa – where Facebook is high on the agenda for young people, but where...

Vodafone 555 Blue review

The Vodafone 555 Blue is a feature-phone with deep Facebook integration. Is it worth the money or should you just keep on walking?

In a world where the top phones are battling it out with 1GHz+ multi-core processors, more storage than I needed five years ago, and fighting over whether or not they support 4G connectivity, the Vodafone 555 Blue is solidly in the low end.

Vodafone 555 Blue Review

With the benefits of a QWERTY keyboard, a two-megapixel snapper and good Facebook integration, the 555 Blue offers a slow and steady basic operation

Messaging is simple; decent keyboard; nice price

Sluggish web access makes uploading and downloading an annoying process

If you want little else from your handset but to text, call and check out your friends’ status updates, the Vodafone 555 Blue is a good choice of phone but if you’re after anything more, you’ll need to look elsewhere.
