Vodafone 845

Vodafone's first own-branded Android handset has a rock bottom price tag, but is it any good?

Vodafone 845 review

Android 2.1 stuffed in a budget package

Android 2.1 OS ; Huge array of functionality ; Decent UI ; Google Maps Navigation ; Small package

Slow processor ; Buggy apps ; Low screen resolution ; Resistive touchscreen ; Difficult keyboard ; Vodafone web services ; Limited internal storage ; Poor camera

We've picked up the new Vodafone 845, the budget Android handset that hasn't been examined in detail anywhere else, so this Vodafone 845 review is your first chance to see a definitive verdict.

Vodafone 845 Review

In an attempt to please the masses, Vodafone has started selling the affordable and app-friendly 845. Designed and made by Huawei, the 845 is a frill-less Android handset that boasts a touchscreen and…

A great budget Android smartphone with limitless home screen customisation, the 845 has all the features of a more expensive smartphone - except a larger screen

Vodafone 845 review -

Great price, subtle looks and decent interface

Decidedly average camera and unimpressive touch-screen

Vodafone 845 review

You won't find many phones at this price with such a decent set of specs, and the 845's small size is a bonus. But the screen lets it down

: Decent interface, really good price tag and nice looks

: The touch screen does little to impress and the camera is pretty mediocre

Vodafone has made a decent effort with this Android phone, and brought it to market at a great price. It’s just a shame that the resistive touch-screen lets it down, unless you have the patience to make it work well. It’s an attractive handset, offers...

Vodafone - 845

An Android based handset on contract for £15 a month is quite a lure, and Vodafone has precisely that offering on its books with the own-branded Vodafone 845. This is a small handset, following the trend ...

The low cost of the Vodafone 845 might be alluring, but there are a couple of serious let-downs with this phone. The poor screen responsiveness is one, a less than great camera is another. Choose this handset and you won't see Android at its best.

Vodafone 845

Review Vodafone's 845 is right on trend as it is a small format Android handset. Sony Ericsson's tiny Xperia X10 Mini - reviewed here [1] - and X10 Mini Pro have both had a surprisingly good reception, and Vodafone clearly thinks there's something in...

It would be easy to dismiss the Vodafone 845 as a mediocre handset which simply doesn’t do Android justice and leave it at that.

Vodafone 845

The Vodafone 845 is budget smart phone that runs on Google's Android 2.1 operating system.

One of the first things that you would notice with the Vodafone 845 is the chunky appearance. It is relatively shorter than most phones coming out now, and a little bit wider. At 99 millimetres long and 55 millimetres across, it is around 14 mm thick...

Vodafone 845 review: Screen and build

With a small resistive touchscreen and uninspiring looks, the Vodafone 845 falls short of impressing us

Robust build, manual touchscreen calibration

An Android ugly sister, resistive touchscreen disappoints
