ZTE Boost Max review

When Boost Mobile decided to rebrand ZTE's Iconic Phablet as the Boost Max, the carrier wanted to go big -- 5.7 inches big, in fact.

ZTE's Boost Max sports a premium build, a competitive off-contract price, and expandable memory.

Both the handset's call and camera quality are middling, and 4G LTE data speeds were consistently slow in our tests.

Consider the Boost Max if you want a cheap Android handset with a lot of screen. But if you can pay a little extra, the Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 is the better budget phablet.

ZTE Boost Max: A totally capable mid-range phablet

With microSD expansion, a vibrant 5.7-inch display, and a cool-looking design, the ZTE Boost Max is not half bad.

It’s a shame that ZTE’s Boost Max is limited to Boost Mobile at the moment, because it’s a solid mid-range phablet. I only ever experienced frustration with the Boost Max when I was trying to connect to the Internet. The network is typically geared for...

Review: ZTE Max for Boost Mobile

ZTE brings its big-screen Android smartphone to Sprint's pre-paid service. The Max has a number of things going for it and little going against it. Here is Phone Scoop's full review.

"I just bought this phone and I love it!!!"

Overall a really good phone for the price, the 720P display is more than enough, audio sounds really crisp, camera takes good pictures, nobody has complained about my call quality, streams music and video really well. I love this phone.

Huge clear screen, dolby audio, fast, responsive, great call quality, affordable, solid camera, gorilla glass, expandable memory, 4gLTE

Really slick back, can't remove battery.
