BenQ XL2420T review

Possibly the best 3D monitor we've seen

Best TN panel yet ; Best stereoscopic 3D ; Superb OSD controls

Mediocre vertical viewing angles ; Nvidia 3D Vision pack isn't included

Is the BenQ XL2420T the first TN panel that really delivers? We think so. It produces super stereoscopic 3D image quality, too.

BenQ XL2420T review

Monitors designed specifically for gamers are rare, which isn't surprising as their key needs - fast response times and refresh rates, plus decent contrast - have long been the core ambitions of most manufacturers anyway. The new BenQ XL2420T covers...

Ideal monitor for gamers, but its image quality isn't as good as some of the latest budget IPS panels

BenQ XL2420T

120 Hz panel, Low input lag, Ergonomic adjustability, No significant clouding

Color inaccuracy, Black level, Some overdrive trailing, Still some 3D crosstalk, Viewing angles

BenQ XL2420T is a gaming monitor and the follow-up to the previous XL2410T . This time BenQ has included a Remote Control unit for switching between color modes and XL2420T is also compatible with Nvidia 3D Vision 3. Unfortunately the Remote Control...

BenQ XL2420T Monitor Review

We're back with another offering from BenQ. This time it's in the form of the BenQ XL2420T 24-inch LED backlit high-performance gaming monitor. BenQ state that it's perfect for competitive FPS games and has been co-developed with Counter-Strike...

Crisp and clear display

Overall, the BenQ Xl2420T has performed extremely well from in-game performance to general use and film. The vibrant colours and quality of the display is up there with the best.

BenQ XL2420T

The BenQ XL2420T is a feature-rich 24-inch monitor designed for gamers, but it doesn't come cheap.

Tons of I/O ports. Excellent color and motion performance. Inky blacks. Highly adjustable stand

Expensive. Narrow viewing angles. Stingy warranty

The XL2420T is a 120Hz display and is on Nvidia's list of certified 3D Vision monitors that support LightBoost technology. Unfortunately, this model does not come with the 3D Vision Kit, but the XL2420TX does and we'll be testing its 3D prowess in a...

BenQ XL2420T

Despite the extra frills, the XL2420T isn't a massive jump, performance wise, above the XL2410T. Still, if seriously smooth gaming performance is your only concern, take a look.

120Hz support ; BenQ is finally front mounting buttons ; Context sensitive OSD ; Flexible stand options ; Energy frugal ; Great warranty

Obvious light bleed ; Discolouration issues with inversion tests ; Touch buttons aren't as responsive as they should be

Despite the extra frills, the XL2420T isn't a massive jump, performance wise, above the XL2410T. Just like its predecessor, it suffers from light bleed, as TN panels are wont to do due to lower manufacturing tolerances, and the colour shifting on the...
