LG 38UC99 38-inch ultrawide monitor review

Massive size ; Sharp, color-accurate image quality ; Plenty of connectivity options ; Sturdy stand

More expensive than competitors ; Average contrast ratio ; Short warranty

LG’s 38-inch ultrawide is nothing short of jaw-dropping, and from the moment you lay eyes on its curved 4K panel, you’ll wonder how you ever got by with a measly 27-inch or 24-inch monitor.

LG 38UC99-W

The LG 38UC99-W is a 38-inch curved-screen monitor that delivers outstanding grayscale, color, and gaming performance. At $1,500, it's a serious investment, but you get plenty of features and screen real estate for your money.

Excellent performance. AMD FreeSync enabled. Robust feature set.

Expensive. Stingy warranty.

Conclusion If you're ready for some big-screen gaming and don't mind parting with a sizable wad of cash, the LG 38UC99-W is an excellent choice. Not only is it the biggest gaming monitor we've tested, but it offers a wealth of gamer-friendly features,...

Perfect for designers and illustrators. Had heard the curve can be off-putting for accuracy with straight lines etc. Fear not, brilliant piece of kit everyone should have.

LG 38UC99

I'm really really pleased with this. The amount of screen real estate you get is very impressive. My brother in law has the LG 34UM95 and he says the difference is definitely noticeable, but it does come at a pretty big cost. It makes me feel like a...

A LOT OF MONEY and no other monitor on the market to compare to, hence why you pay the premium. That being said if you can afford it, it's well worth it. This will set the bar for the future.
